Yes, you can just buy a set and fit them, but the only real advantage of fitting them is to get it done by a specialist and dial in the required camber.
No need for lowering springs or uprated dampers, they are used purely to adjust the camber.
The only kits i know about are H & R and...
Are you saying that I am!
I'm not trying to start an argument either, I'm not trying to say that the RS unit makes the Trophy any better, but it's an interesting point all the same...
I think I remember a post by BenR saying that on the 182's he's worked on, he has seen a variety of RS and non RS inlet manifolds, however all the Trophy's he has worked on have the fabled RS manifold...
Basically, Alonso and Hamilton came into the pits together for a set of tyres for the final qualifying effort, and Alonso waited in the pits for 10 seconds after getting his tyres to get the best track position, as a result Hamilton did not have enough time to get his tyres and get round in time...
Nah, arranged it all ourselves, it's real easy and you are on your own timescale when you are out there which suits me more.
Trophy meet would be great, but I imagine it would be a nightmare to organise! I try to post the dates I am going as soon as I know them so that there is the...
Well this has done it for me now, defo going for Parada's next time, just got to get to the 'Ring and kill the set of tyres I've got on there now!
The wheel is perfect Steve! :D
I'm intending to keep my Trophy for at least another couple of years, mainly because I think I've seen it's replacement, but it's way out of my reach at the moment...
Looks very nice indeed, wonder why they have dropped the old single back box design (Orbisoud style) for this one (Yozza style)?
So around £400 for the cat back system - £50 more than the old Janspeed system, then another £300 for the sports cat, it's still an expensive bit of kit!
Not sure what the weak link is, but on the two trackdays I've done in the Trophy on the standard setup, the brakes have started to fade pretty badly.
I've changed my front pads to the Mintex M1144 as they are the first rung on the uprated pad ladder, and are quite a bit cheaper than the...
I've just replaced my front pads, the discs were rusty on the edges, but the actual face was clean and there is plenty of life left in them so the discs stayed.
I went for Mintex M1144 pads, under £70 inc postage off eBay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mintex-C-Tech-Bra ... dZViewItem
Sessions are a good way for beginners to get into the on track experience, instead of having up to 30 cars on track at once, quite often there will only be between 5 or 10 cars on track at any one time.
Having said that, now I have a bit of trackday experience I would only ever book an open...
No worries, will prob go with the £340 quote, thinking about the petrol and fitting on top of £280 for the tyres, and I don't think the savings will be worth the journey up to you. Thanks again though!
