 Have you taken a Cooper S for a test drive? Was not impressed when I took one out, although it wasn't a Works model...
Good luck with the sale fella!
Check out BB tunings website, they have some reports and a couple of small videos of the development of their 172/182 turbo kit.
The kits that BB and K-tec offer both include a full engine rebuild with new low comp pistons etc, but my main worry is that as these kits are still relatively new...
Yeah, price was £60, but it depends on what style you go for. I was supplied the parts for the screw in attachment, but I have not used them as on my previous set in my 5 GT the plastic screws broke! Don't have any problems with them getting in the way though, they are well trimmed to the...
There is a pic of the mats I have in the garage section - http://cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/garage.ph ... age_id=205
Bit more expensive than the other options but they are high quality items, and they look great!
I did the same when I got my camber adjusted, just followed what the guy doing the work advised, at the end of the day he was the guy with all the experience. Did Mark tell you how much camber he dialled in at the front?
Always up for meeting other R'sport Clio owners, especially if they enjoy their cars like you and Matt do! Can't do anything in May, and then in June there is the World Cup, but maybe sometime after then. :D
Matt - What camber settings did you go for? Will be interested to hear how you get...
Welcome to the forum! :D
The best things about forums like these are sharing experiences and getting advice, I guess that is why we are all here really!
Glad to hear some news contrary to what I had previously heard, may well be worth checking out especially as it is pretty much half the price of the Orbisoud system.
What is the backbox design, is it two seperate backboxes, or one that has two tailpipes coming out like the Janspeed and...
Saw this Black 182 on the R'sport forum (is it yours?), looks awesome - great low stance, much lower than the Trophy. Leda coilovers fitted by Mark Fish Motorsport, so you know they are going to be set up properly.
I do have an issue with how high the Trophy appears to sit on its suspension...
Great lap Nik! Nice clean lines and pretty damn committed too! Lap did not seem too busy either, despite the hold up on the fast uphill section, I had heard the 'Ring was getting too busy for it to still be fun, but your video proves otherwise! Wish I had not cancelled my hotel now, should have...
Totally agree mate, I think I will take my car to a specialist, probably Rentech as they are alot closer to me than BB (although I did used to go to BB when I had my 5 Turbo, and £119 is a total bargain for a 12k service for a 182!), but I do think that some prospective buyers will be put off...
Great photos - makes me want to go back there so badly! Does not look as though it was too busy as well, which is always a bonus.
How did the Trophy hold up? Am I right in saying you have been before in your old 172? If so, how was the comparison between the two?
Love the lean going in the first pic, looks like your passenger is just about to land in your lap!
Not heard about anyone actually running an LSD, Yozza has them advertised on his website, but I did not know he has actually fitted one. Hopefully there will be some reports back soon when the...
Yeah I was the same, lighting up the inside front out of the tighter hairpins - good fun! I reckon if you put too much power through the Clio's front wheels then an LSD would become essential for trackwork...
Evo 8 all the way - I just love 'em!
Unless you can hunt down (and afford) one of the very rare VXR VX220's - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/75084.htm
I'm another Optimax only owner, but there are loads of Shell stations nearby to me, so it's easy for me to do this.
Whilst on the subject of fuel, anyone else heard about this new 'revolutionary' 102 Octane fuel BP are doing - http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default ... ryId=13729
Very...
Good result from the mods you have done, reached the magical 200bhp marker!
How exactly was your car chipped, is it a remap of the std ECU or a piggyback chip with a map on it? Does Paul have any contact details?
Sounds like you had a great day! :D
Really enjoyed the day I did at Bedford earlier this year. Only understeer I had was when I was too keen with the throttle in the hairpins, but it is what I expect from a front driver, so I just drove around it.
Don't reckon you will have any problems shifting it at that price considering the mileage, good luck with the sale and enjoy the bike - any idea which bike you are going to get?
