Here's a pic of it fitted.
The oem wheel is 380mm diameter and the Sabelt is 330mm. It's a much nicer wheel to drive with IMHO plus the alcantara feels great!
I agree with you that Snappys work is as good as it gets. There's not a single flaw in the wheel he did. The wheel Royal did really is good but they use a different stitching pattern and in places its not as uniform as the wheel that snappy did - but its a more intricate pattern, like...
I have for sale my steering wheel retrimmed by Snappy on cliosport. It has covered 1000miles at the very most and is in excellent condition! Grey leather with red stitching and band at the 12 o'clock position. Perforated leather thumb grips and bottom section. Really is immaculate. Comes...
Snappy is a member on cliosport.net
If you go into Cliosport and search for 'snappy' then pm him. Alternatively you can contact Royal Steering Wheels which is the company that did mine. Royalsteeringwheels.com. Snappy is not connected with Royal. They're two different businesses.
I agree. The wheels are great but the colour scheme doesn't suit the Trophy. I actually dyed the blue part (and the rest of the wheel with black suede dye - but the wheel was worn and it just didn't look right.
The new alcantara feels superb. I don't do that many miles so keeping it in tip...
Just received my newly retrimmed wheel and gear gaiter back from Royal Steering Wheels today. I went for dark grey alcantara with red stitching and the Trophy logo embroidered on it. Also got a gear gaiter made to match. Very pleased with it - top quality
I have a Snappy wheel on at the...
The rocker cover is a usual suspect! Mine leaks down the back of the engine, past the exhaust manifold and then drips from the bottom of the sump. It is only a very small amount. This may be where your oil leak is from but it shouldn't be leaking enough to lose 0.5l + of oil in between...
I think the Brembos do look good - especially in red, but I don't think they would add any value to the car. But if you ever were to sell you could just put the original brakes back on and sell the Brembo setup. You wouldn't lose much money that way.
For a road car it is overkill imho but...
Mine are exactly the same. They were refurbed 2 year ago by BG. Not sure what it looks like with the screw removed. Would be good to know for future reference.
Yes it improves both. It raises the idle speed by a few hundred rpm and i think alters the fuel/timing slightly. this helps make it feel smoother. Also smooths out the kick around 5000rpm.
Totally gutted to hear about your latest spell of disastrously bad luck! All I can say is that I wish you all the best with whatever you plan to do next... Because you really desevre a break!
Do I sense some boost?
Best of luck.
Is anyone else's boot handle or roof strips a different shade of red?
It's personal taste of course but I think the red button looks better colour coded.
For some reason my plastic boot handle and roof strips were a darker colour than the rest of the car. Is this a common Trophy problem? I've heard of the plastics going pinkish but these are a deeper red than the rest of the car.
Doesn't look they've been painted in the past either.
I just used...
I wouldn't go spending money on getting your dampers refurbed if they don't need it. If they were soft or leaking then I would get them refurbed. But for the time being I wouldn't worry too much. Just enjoy it
Hi, just wondering if anyone has a spare set of sideskirt stickers that they're willing to sell? I only need the drivers side but would be willing to buy both.
On the subject, has anyone bought non-genuine stickers and what are their thoughts on them?
Cheers
I have been concentrating on getting the engine bay tidied up over the Winter. I changed the brake fluid, gearbox oil and coolant and then painted the engine and inlet etc. The cam cover is Capsicum red and the engine mount, fuel rail guard etc is Audi nimbus grey. This was meant to be a...
