    Cheap......but change those wheels!!!

At least the alloys are lightweight on this flying machine!!! The quickshift gearbox and premium soundsystem are also good selling points. I think maybe they missed they point of the car  Will somebody please save this Trophy?

Twice in a day? North East

Trophy on the A19 near Peterlee at 22:40 ish and another earlier(Must be the same one?) driving past the Fox and Hounds pub in Hetton at around 15:40. I drive past RavyDavyGravy's on a regular basis but I've only seen it moving once :)

    Second vehicle insurance

Was just wondering if anyone insures another vehicle in addition to their Trophy. I'm considering buying a van/camper for biking/festival trips this summer and general odd jobs. Last time I had two cars on the road my no claims bonus only counted on one vehicle so I had to insure the other on...

Clio V6 vs Megane R26R on Autocar TV

Enjoyed watching this - cheers. Both great cars and he gives a good, honest review. Must be nice to have a job testing cars like that. Pity there aren't many TV reviews of the Trophy - or are there? Think I'll have a beer or two for Fifth Gear tonight.

Help CAR find the best hot hatch of all time

Think I managed to vote for the Trophy! The list is a bit daft really though: Original mini is not even a hatch, Integra is a coupe, the turbocharged, V6, 4WD stuff should fall into a different category and some are just plain crap but will probably place higher than the Trophy as more people...

hi any hams hall boy racers on here.

The Trophy was designed to excel on the UK's twisty A and B roads and tracks. Half of the people on here probably have probably not taken their Trophy to the limit because its really dangerous to do so unless you're in the right environment. The other half probably take their car on tracks and...

how many miles has your trophy done?

Only 6.5 - must be one of the lowest out there - thats less than 6 miles a day on average from new. I've done 10.5k

Let's start talking Skiing/Snowboarding holidays again..

I don't know anyone who has been to Donnersbachwald but I reckon anywhere can be good if you're with a good crowd and there is plenty of snow. By the way, If you or anyone else would like to ski/board in Bansko in future then I could arrange a very good deal. I had a word with friend who works...

Let's start talking Skiing/Snowboarding holidays again..

Gotta love snowboards/skis - light, fast, maneuverable - just like a Trophy. Good move buying your own gear - you'll notice a huge difference with fitted boots particularly. I've got a set of Burton Cartels and have to say that they are excellent - you won't go wrong with a pair of those. As...

Check your front discs - don't expect your Renault garage to

Had another look through the Renault Maintenance Service Booklet which came with the car which says that the next service is not due until October 2009. Service intervals for the car are 2 years/12k miles (whichever is first). If the car was registered in October 2005 and serviced in October...

Check your front discs - don't expect your Renault garage to

Cheers for that. Thought as much from reading the manuals but lots of people were mentioning 3 year services (must have done more miles than me). Warranty expires today so gonna give up on the replacement brakes and look forward to the uprated set-up. Johnnytheboy - pleased you've had some...

Check your front discs - don't expect your Renault garage to

The Renault dealers are really frustrating to deal with, largly due to inconsistency. My first MOT highlighted that my front pads and disks both needed replacing. The disks had corroded due possibly to the pad sticking. Wear and tear according to the dealer. The dealer said that if I brought...

    Brakes and Insurance

V Sport in Boldon, not too far from where I live, are supplying and fitting the parts. They have worked on a friends car and he said he was impressed with what they had done. He can supply the parts for about the same as Yozzasport but the delivery charge for all of the bits would be pretty...

    Brakes and Insurance

All sorted!!!! Renewed my insurance through Greenlight at a cost of £429 with protected NCB and all the forthcoming brake improvements recorded. They were really nice to deal with and the quote includes extras such as track day cover for £50 per session at all UK circuits (Excluding...

    Brakes and Insurance

When i bought the trophy and transferred the insurance from my 205 I was told that when the renewal was due it would cost around £500. I thought this seemed expensive but the £830 they quoted recently is laughable considering my age and experience. Oh well, at least some companies are...

    Brakes and Insurance

Time has come to insure, tax and test my trophy. The car has passed its MOT but I've been advised that the front disks and pads could do with replacing. The car has only done 10k miles but the disks have corroded, due possibly to sticking pads. Naturally, the dealers said the warranty would...

    M3 CSL

So much talent going to waste. Whats the point in trying making a huge, ugly 4x4 perform and handle like a supercar? Just to prove you can? At least Porsche make the GT3 and RS to excuse the (Admittedly impressive) Cayenne. It's worrying that the sort of person with that sort of money to...

Trophy has gone , Pictures of its replacment

Looks like its in really good condition. How many miles has it done? Had an Elise 111R when they first came out and it was superb. These apparently feel faster in most situations though due to them having a lot more torque. Seem to be quite tuneable too which must make them one of the...

 Thought I would have seen you around in it. Couldn't drive mine after first taking delivery due to my arm being in cast so I've not covered many miles really. Back in business now though. How long have you guys had yours? Any more out there?
