I have placed an order for these on Tuesday and I still have not received them. I was going to phone up on monday. I have realised that they are based in the lakes and so are probably flooded. Anyone got any further info on their situation. Does anywhere else sell them? I have 2 fronts on the...
My personal preference would be a Lotus Elise S1. Its great on fuel, rear wheel drive, better on track, could pick one up for £10K. I don't know if this is too much. But if you become flush again, you could do a honda V-TEC conversion for £10-15K, and no one would be able to touch you anywhere...
It can also be the engine mounts coming loose. Easy to do If you know how. Crowbar + spanner = job done lol.
The loose engine mount causes the manifold to rub on the heat shield.
I run 34F/30 Rear. I seem to be the only one. However, I have found that no matter what pressure I use on the front when on track, I just wear out the side walls. I do have -1.75 camber. Should I go massively softer, fit track tyres, or driver slower. I do love the fine steering feel you get...
mine have been loosing oil. They feel really unrefined like a 182 cup lol. The oils is what provides the supppleness. If the gas goes the car should drop on one side.
Thy hallowed day will be Thursday 19th November. He will be removing and refitting too. Apparently the quickest turn around he can do is the following afternoon, as he has to spray loctite over it and let it sit overnight. I'm having new adjusters too, as when the pin is removed, the shaft the...
Sorry to hijack this thread, but this is a similar point. I replaced my rear pads recently, so I thought I'd give you some of my observations. I run Pagid RS-42s on the front and the rears are standard. Before changing the rear pads, when they were wearing out, I noticed the car used to dive a...
It's not so much a time thing, more of a mileage thing. How much have you done in those 11 months?
I get 12K from the fronts and 24 from the rears. Interestingly, I got the same on the contis, when I had a 172cup, I hated those tyres though. When my front tyres wear out, I put the backs to the...
The trick dampers on the front of the car have pins right through the adjuster, so that you can't adjust them. Real clever isn't it. You can get these removed, thus returning it as intended.
The red light near the gear stick is the alarm light. It comes on when you lock the car.
Which compound did you go for? I'm using Pagid RS-42s atm. They are noisy, but I love them for it. People probably think I'm a jerk and put their fingers in their ears, but they don't know how much fun I'm having. I assumed pagids would be bad on discs, but 6K miles in and they are...
There is a 172 at work which is lowered. It looks great but quite low without being chavvy  I would assume they are sportlines, but don't know other alternatives.
Mark Fish told me that his rear dampers and springs all round are approx 25% stiffer. Sounds a lot, but 25% of 150lb is about 40lb. I was going to go with Eibachs, as ive been told by everyone that they are the best. But I think lowering the car that much may give me problems. I've never heard...
I can personally recommend Andrew Walsh at Cadence Driver Training. He does everything from activity days (cheap) to 4:1 tuition (medium) to One to One (how much!!!) Lol. Depends on how much money you've got and how much you have to learn.
I've always wanted a V6 gear knob. I always remember seeing the V6 at bedford autodrome and wondering about it. I wasn't sure if it was a straight swap or not. Not sure if it would look right. I have a steelers round my local shops lol, so lazy.
No, but rusting springs is common with any springs other than Eibach. I know corsa's are prone to this, but a friend had an Audi S3 and 3 springs snapped. BTW I would seriously recommend phoning mark, as he never looks at his computer during the day. I couldn't say how quickly he will respond...
