Think the reason why they list the cup dampers when you go to most Renault dealerships is the they assume the trophy has the exteme handling pack (aka cup chassis) and select that after putting the reg. number in. This is what guy at dealer said after finding right part number :)

Was planning on fitting new ones along with the fronts getting refurbed anyway, but one started leaking few weeks ago. So mines on 172/182 dampers. Let me know if they say anything and I'll do same if I get news.

bobtbobtbob, I've orederd a set of rear dampers 3 weeks ago, apparently there is no eta on when they'll be made. Was there yesterday asking them so seems the'll be quite a wait for them to be manufactured :/

Is this the same spec one as usued in the Maxogen for Clios?

Heard that but wasn't sure. Getting charged same price as cup ones so can't complain about that.

Have ordered new standard ones, decided to stick with everything standard, thought in long run would be best for me. Unfortunately have no idea when they'll arrive? 5days apparently but got told same with rear dampers and still don't have them 10days on because theres none in france so have to...

Tonight I was looking at my Trophy and something wasn't right with the stance, jacked it up to find the driver side front spring broken. Somehow it had managed to break and go under the upper half??? So the car sits higher on that side now :? Before I phone Renault tomorrow I was considering...

100% agree, some pics from when I used PE2 it looks like I'm on the rim of the alloy in some corners :lol:

Anglesey is quite hard on brakes so if you are going to be running steel wheels deffinately need to sort some cooling to them either ducting or as sir_dave mentioned liners out. The kerbs at Anglesey are quite big if you do go over them too much so I'd really keep eye out for some 15" alloys...

If the wishbones and balljoints have not been replaced from original items by now I'd get them changed, deffinatelt the balljoints. You could go for some powerflex wishbone bushes here just make sure you get the steel inserts welded into place on the wishbones if you do. Options on springs are...

Used rear Sachs damper/s. Mines leaking, if anyone has one spare they could send until I get a pair of new ones it'd greatly apprechiated. Obiously would pay for it and postage :) dm me

Dug my receipt out, I paid £493 for my set, direct from speedline (Well through a group buy, these were at the time custom made in anthracite as they didn't do them at the time) It was 3 years almost exactly ago, hope this helps you.

Not sure on tyre prices, only ever ran R888/A048R on them, around £60-80 I'd have thought? Oh and if you want a comparisson :lol:
