it isnt serious all the time when found in the engine (under the oil cap), lots of short trips can cause it to build up, something to do with the oil vapour condensing with cold air vapour in the top of the engine if things dont get hot enough throughout the engine.
but...if there are signs of...
Oh wow, such a good and well cared for car...i knew it would still be arround.
this photo must have been taken a few weeks after i bought it in 2002 / 03 ? as it still has the old reg on.
you never saw many black ones and it was a much nicer pearl metallic black than the 182 black / gold...
where is the hidden mini game?
i aint got it yet but i'm going to, cod4 & mw2 are all i've played for 3 years, and i'm still crap :D
you can add me to your friends if you like - search under " son of solo"
I ran both a Trophy and a R27 for nearly 2 years, i was thinking about this today on the plane back from London and came up with the following Trophy / R27 comparison...
before anyone starts... please remember this is " in my experence".
TROPHY
GOOD
Seats, handling, alloys (good quality)...
Has anyone else noticed the trophy (in flight) on the cover of the Evo special "performance car heroes"
Basically it's just a compalation of old Evo features, but still worth a look, I'd post a pick but I can from my phone...
Re: 2005 Renault Clio Trophy, over 7K spent! Big Spec!
7k of work...really ?
I'd agree with J ^ in essence this ain't a trophy anymore, apart from the colour and a plaque.
Although the brakes are a wise upgrade.
I had one, from memory there isn't a in line fuse just a main lead that plugs into the head unit.
After a day my head unit stopped working and was eventually changed under warranty, I didn't bother connecting it to the new head unit. I sold it on the bay in the end, it meant to work on the 182...
For sale 2 Clio 17" 197 R27 alloys.
Were on the car for only 6 weeks from new before being removed due to having car spray paint on them ( long story )
Spray can be t-cut off if you have the time, I started but never finished them. Supplied in original Renault boxes.
Pick up only from Newcastle...
just get it wrapped ( the RS500 is just a wrap after all ) and when your sick peel it off.
i hear the mat black doesnt wear very well, marks are difficult to remove without "buffing" the area and making the whole thing patchy.
just a current fad - dont belive the hype.
it should be printed on a sticker.
the sticker should be on the inside cover of the "Maintenance service booklett" (the one the dealer stamps after a service - see photo of my R27 booklett, the trophy one may look slightly different) radio code is highlighted in yellow.
read the manual to see...

£500 off for Trophy forum users...
I think its time to sell my R27 Team F1 Clio 197,
I've enjoyed my time with it having previously owned a clio Williams, Mk1 172 and Trophy.
Its always been garaged and parked in a secure car park at work, For the last 18 monthy its only been used week days for work (3 miles away) and little...
Years back someone pinched only the front indicators from my friends vauxhall Nova, and then a couple years after removed the complete Mtech front bumper off his 318s.
This should have been what the revival of the Gordini marque was all about... More power better handling etc
It's still amusing reading the posts on the RS forum drooling over the gordini...hypebeasts
i'm still around although the trophy is gone, i'm using my wifes old R27 at the moment while i think about my next move...i've found a trophy in newcastle not on here that i might leave a note on soon.
yeah there's pleanty around, didnt art dealer have a decent one the other week?
a gark grey real suede re-trim with red top marker would be very nice on the trophy, a more thicker grip ( like on the 197 wheel ) would also be good as the trophy wheel just feels too thin sometimes.
