Good tyres. High limits and progressive when they do slip although I think they've now been superceded by the 3's?
Mine seem to have fallen off a cliff grip wise though. They're old and were stored outside through the winter, so I think that's done them in.
I've seen 5 (I think) different ones in the area. One that lives in Woodley and the one with white wheels are the main ones but that one's now disappeared.
Ok excellent, thanks Badgerman:)
@ Jack: I think in 2 and a half years and 40,000 miles i've only been spotted once, at least on here anyway. Must be some sort of record? I'm often in the bus so I suppose that's partially why. Do you often drive yours into Reading?
Of course. I couldn't help...
Sadly my car has had a bit of a knock tonight.
Coming home from work tonight a fawn decided to play chicken with my car and unfortunately misjudged it a bit. Thankfully the little bugger was uninjured (really didn't want to have to put him down in the middle of the A4) but my car has come off...
K-tec have looked after mine since I got it and i've never really had a problem, bad experience? They fitted the wrong exhaust when I upgraded but thats it, so the one I wanted was ordered and fitted free of charge.
I've read the article and while I must admit it sounds amazing, do you really have room for 2 cars that do exactly the same thing? Yes the 205 would be a bit quicker but how much difference would you really see on any normal uk road?
Maybe fitting the LSD to the Trophy would be one way to go...
That's a great offer, thankyou very much. I'll look to taking you up on that. Weekends or weekdays? I may end up speaking to you anyway as I've been told I can come and get a look around XM655 at Wellesbourne.
So many things to do, not enough money to do them with!
They are a very old car now in basic design and it does show in terms of quality. The Clio does have a much more solid feel but the way the speaker surrounds rattle annoys me and my 205's never did that. Guess I should just sort it and stop complaining! I intend to test drive a few as soon as...
Sorry I messed up that post a little!
@Felix. I've heard that about the 309, due to the longer wheelbase apparently? There's a red one for sale up north at the mo which is very tempting.
I want one with the sunroof funnily enough. My diesel had it and despite the downsides ( I wouldn't be able...
I'll miss the overtaking ability but the fact that it's slower doesn't really worry me. It's more the whole experience.
If I get one it'll be my 3rd 205. First was my first car, a 1.1 Junior which didn't last long although that wasn't because I crashed it, just got replaced with a larger...
Evening everyone.
I've been umming and ahhing about selling the Clio for a while now, it's costing a fair bit to run which isn't great when I have another expensive hobby.
So i've decided I should probably try to get a cheaper car that's as fun and although i've looked at MX-5s and the like...
Anyone's from here? Looked great with the white wheels. Were they still Turinis?
Seen today at around 13:00 going towards Reading hospital past the broken down bus.
It depends what you want to do with the car. If you want to keep it as original as possible then these will be worth their weight in gold. Granted, most people won't be bothered by this but i'd have thought that dampers with these on in 10 years time could be more valuable.
