Also from what I gather over on cliosport the spax have some reliability issues of their own! Better of sticking with the Sachs setup to be honest as it is superb!
cornering force do refurbs for £420 including powder coating, around £300 without powder coating, can't recommend simon enough! New springs are £90 each from Renault so you're looking g at £500 - £600 for everything!
Good question, worth a look I guess maybe see if you can get some cheap on CS and mod them to fit, my first thought is that they may be narrower and while they'll fit over the shaft may not fit the damper body! They may also not mate up and clip onto the bump stop in the same way! Or maybe the...
The issue is that the shaft on the sachs is quite a bit thicker than the shaft on the cup dampers, so its a bit of a loose fitment, dont think its worth buying dust guards or bump stops for the cup dampers to be honest, better off just using the ones off the sachs for a week or 2.
The offer...
I forgot to mention the bump stop / dust guard don't fit properly, but yes sir you are correct in saying they will do whilst the sachs are away, any form of bumpstop/ dust protection is better than nothing, even if you do only intend on using the dampers for a few weeks!!
Good work on the...
Trophy springs will fit on the cup dampers yea, there's clip for the abs cable on the cup dampers though you need a bracket, I just used 2 cable ties!
And yea rebuild was at cornering force this time!
Where you based I got the pair I used when mine went off for a rebuild! Kinda wanna keep them for next time etc but you could make use of them for a few weeks for some beer tokens?
They're mark fish springs! He has them made for his company I guess! They sit low and are very firm, ideally suited for a track car but too harsh and crashy for the road according to some people, do a search been covered many times on here!
Not a lot, more at the rear than the front but its fine going up kerbs / over speedbumps etc
At a guess I'd say about -10mm on the front and around -20mm at the rear
Works fine, got one on mine! I had to get a new holder though as mine was rusted to bits and all rank and yellow ,they're pretty cheap though think I got a genuine renault one for £7 on ebay
This, glove box and boot lights work fine but the interior light has serious issues with LED bulbs, tried a few, gave up, standard bulb! TBH the LED bulbs in the boot/glove box look great but when its dark they seriously hurt my eyes..too bright!
No worries, remember they're pinned in place from the factory so if they haven't been depinned you won't be able to adjust, also its worth having the adjustable konis on the rear so you can turn them up to match the front!
Mine were £420 all in including powder coating, new Schrader valves, depinning and dynoing and return postage! Bargain! Simon is a legend! I've gone 1 click harder than standard and the cars feeling superb! Would be about £300 if you didn't get powder coating! Best bet is to call him and have a...
I asked them about that, they said they eibach no longer list them as trophy compatible so they had to change the site, loads of us rubbing them with Jo issues!
