I'm still confused as to what/why its scuffing even a Trophy on 182 cup shocks and springs shouldn't scuff or bottom out at all, and a Trophy on standard shocks and springs shouldn't either, sounds like somethings not quite right to me!
Anyway that's by the by, sachs + sportlines + soild top...
The sport lines are fine on standard dampers, seems to drop a trophy a bit less than a standard 1*2 , I have solid top mounts and it does feel a lot better although ride comfort is definitely compromised!
I'd be more inclined to go with sportlines over the prolines they're a lot better suited and a tried and tested combo, not heard or seen many guys using prolinee on a Trophy !
I have the adjustable rear koni's on mine, from memory they were about £170 for the pair, also if you decide to go down the koni route make sure you look at the picture by picture guide on cliosport.net as the instructions for assembling the top mounts are pretty useless and its quite easy to...
as Marc said in his original post the colour is hard to replicate and the ebay ones just come in a set variety of colours from what i can see none of which exactly match the Trophy decals.
Alternatively you could buy a new insert, I got some of the silver carbon effect ones out of a 172 I think got the gear and steering inserts and both dash inserts in mint condition for about £22 on eBay!!
Michellin Pilot Sport 3's would be the obvious choice as theyre a replacement for the original Pilot Exalto 2 tyres, theyre pretty good although i found they felt a little softer but i never tried the XL versions.
I run Hankook V12 Evo's and for the money i think they are superb. I know BigDave...
Rear adjustable konis are a slightly cheaper option also offer a bit more adjustment over the standard shocks, a few of the guys on here run them including myself
Can't say ive heard of many people having this issue! Only similar problem i had was on a mk1 clio where the wiper motor seized up but after a couple of bangs with a hammer it came back to life and hasnt had a problem since!
Knows it! Why spend £20 or so on items that are destined to fail when you can knock a pair up for £8, 18 months now and they're still going strong and no issues!
SirDave had the H&Rs fitted and rated them quite highly! Not heard of anyone using ASTs as a replacement for the Sachs, no luck tracking down a set of Sachs front units ??
I'm with Aviva, 9 years driving, 8 years NCB, Policy came out at £405, added the stainless exhaust, solid top mounts, harnesses, removal of rear seats, koni rear shocks and a remap and it went up to £422
