Interesting to read this since I believe the mounts fabricated for Pole Positions and Sportsters (for Clio V6's) were supposed to be spot on, and are said to be a huge improvement to OEM.
Has anyone on here got these mounts on their Trophy?
Seems like quite an overhaul, and all the important bits too.
How does one upgrade the front Sachs dampers so that "there is no shrader valve to leak anymore" - does that mean the gas chamber becomes a sealed unit?
"...this car has been owned and looked after by the UK’s number 1 Clio Cup race team and technician, Team Pyro"
It may be that #129 was/is owned by (a member of) Team Pyro - there is a photograph of a T on their web site titled "Our Fleet": http://www.pyromotorsport.co.uk/teampyro.html
As per the title #129 (BL05 UKE) has been listed on eBay (43,434 miles) - not recorded in the register: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=321408543259&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:3160

Sorry to hear that your dampers were binned!
I have got ONE spare front N/S Sachs damper, but of course it is useless unless you find an O/S damper. However, drop me a PM if you are interested.
Excellent news Max. Just what I wanted to hear - the Front Silencer/Centre Box goes back in exchange for the newly designed item....
Thanks or the heads up.
Hi, Are you certain that Whybee have agreed to provide the original Front Silencer/Centre Box?
Also, how serious (or committed) were they about having a new, improved Centre Box, and the timescales for this to become a reality? I think what we all want is a new, improved Front Silencer/Centre...
I think what we need is feedback from those who have fitted the cat back system with then "new" front silencer. Whybee claim that they have sold over 50, and no negative feedback has been received.
As such, if those on this Group Buy could provide their feedback that will be great. If you can...
CC, I trust you want to know whether the annual premium is impacted by the agreed value. Yes it is but given that the policy has restrictions (e.g. limited mileage) the premuims are very reasonable and outweigh the cost. For example, have a 1996 Porsche on an agreed value of £130K and the...
Most insurers who offer Agreed Value policies ask this question: "how much would it cost to replace the car you have with something exactly the same". The answer to this question is taken as a basis to set the agreed value that underpins the policy, and that is the figure you get paid out. No...
One can get agreed value policies under Classic Car insurance (Future Classics) policies, but there are some restrictions. Two main restrictions; the car must not be a daily driver and annual mileage is usally limited to between 3K and 5K depending on insurance company.
Haven't insured the...
I emailed Whybee, since they seem to be the point of contact as regards the RS192 is concerned. I did respond to their email and stated that, based on the feedback so far, I would not accept the front silencer, and, if they cannot supply me a unit that matches the sound and characteristics of...
Based on your feedback I too emailed the company concerned and received a reply today which states the following:
"Scorpion have just made a new design for the front silencer as we were having problems with the old one cracking on some cars
You are the one of the first batch to try the new...
Clio V6 spoiler appears to be missing too. Guess this never materialised? http://www.cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/44197-1-43rd-Scale-model-of-the-Trophy
This chap appears to have quite a collection of Renaults (good reference as to what is available out there...
I haven't opened the packaging as yet, but it definitely says "494RN Front Silencer" (see photo below). The "Front Silencer" does look very different to the one shown on their web site. Wonder why they changed the design?
This is very disappointing since I too am not a fan of the midrange boom...
I haven't got around to installing mine yet, but looking at my invoice I see that it says "Scorpion RS192 Centre Pipe" (see picture below). Is this what you mean?
The pipe in its packaging looks like this - does the "Centre Pipe" you received look the same?
The sticker says "valved by Eibach", which is not what the Trophy dampers are.
Listing states "These are professionally remade replicas of the original EIBACH Decal......."
However, wonder whether the company that made these will be able to reproduce the original Sachs sticker................
Just receive the Centre Pipe, which apparently is dispatched separately to the Back Box and Fitting Kit. Below is was told I was by whybee.co.uk (who sent me the tracking details).
"This has been sent separately as the rest of the exhaust is coming to you form Scorpion."
Incidentally the...
It was your EVO Diary video that convinced me thatI should get one, which I did in Aug 2013 (#262, a one-owner car), after toying with the idea a year in 2012. You were spot on, so thank you.
