550 seems too cheap for all that buddy. 550 is good for the cam and aux but i would expect another 200 hundred to fit the brakes and hoses?? Did he get the info right when quoting? Just try not to hammer on the brakes for the first few hundred miles, i just drive normally as i'm light on the...
i'll get one tomorrow buddy, i should've explained better, the gap should be about 5mm. As the oil level decreases the gap narrows. It's possible to check with ur finger over the top of the wheel when u know what ur feeling for.
cam belt replacement at about 30k ideally. If the reservoir of the shocks is sitting smack bang on the bracket that attaches to the damper casing then they need a refurb (£400), frequency of this depends on car's use (30k miles upwards). Otherwise just the usualls, they're pretty good cars in...
i wanted one of those for a spell. My ex got a 1litre bog basic 106, such fun to drive, and the TU engine was a gem for 100k miles '92. Head gasket blew, replaced it at home and got the head skimmed, passed it on to my cousin who thrashed it for a year at 18 lol. Such easy engines to work on...
Nice one, thanks for the product advice, i'll bare that in mind. I always do one panel at a time with the clay etc. Took me three days spread over 2weeks to do the whole car. Spent 5 hours today doing 3 wheels, last one can wait till tomorrow. I definately reccomend the billberry wheel cleaner...
welcome squire, the over-rated power claims by manufacturers seems to have become a common thing. Mine hasn't been on a dyno but a lot of people have found there's is lower than stated. Although not as much as your peugeot! That's quite frankly a joke.
*edit* - just re-read and realised you...
I paid £7500 for mine last year with 27k on the clock but i then had to get the cam and aux belt replaced (£500 from a non-dealer) and air con regassed, £50. The brakes needed doing ideally, another £500 all round. But i preferred it this way as i knew exactly what was on the car and who had...
Thirty Thousand Pounds! Well if some pratt wants to buy it then good on 'em for selling it! I can now understand spending 160 on a wax is going to get you a very good product, and don't take you as bragging, it's just the different levels of people's understanding of detailing. I've no doubt...
I think detailing a car would be a lot more satisfying a job than simply washing/valeting, i couldn't do that. How comes ur still not doing it?
£500 .... is this an immensely ramped up price to fool you with the name of the manu. or is the price justified?
haha, love the replies!
£600! Be nice but I couldn't afford that! There's a few more bits i'd like to buy this year but don't think i'll break £200.
sam i'm no expert by a long long way, hence the reason why i'm buying my first lambs wool mitt and bucket with grit guard - there you go, start...
after spending £100 last year on better gear, moving to meguirs, i've now discovered the internet's detailing world and spent another £100 on more clobber that you can't buy in Halfords! Bad on my finances but the T will benefit tremendously!

When i picked mine up i had a chat with the owner of the company. Ur right in that it costs £1600 to make one up, he said he only makes the clio exhaust when they're quiet and the only financially viable way of buying one is in a group buy situation thus costing £600. He said he made 10 a few...
no discounts involved. I oredered it through the website including a set of poly bushes. I got an automated reply then nothing, i emailed and he replied that they were in production and would contact me when the exhaust was made, then nothing. I email about a month or so later, and had no reply...
I ordered a yozzasport exhaust....oooooo, about 8 months ago...still havn't received any response!
No extra bits needed with goodridge hoses, simple to fit. I used Halfords Racing DOT 4
don't worry about it fella, like the guys say, could be a failed sensor, or could be a leak in the exhaust like mine was. A mechanic friend of mine told me to fix the leak and go for a blast to clear it out. I left the car over night and the light went out. bingo.
Richard ur a wally! Put the seats down and blanket, stick it in the boot and drive down to Gerpins Lane and chuck it in the metal recycling...save the planet, drive like a loon with ur new zorst, appy days!
