Alright jon, i'm gona give them a ring today and stick my deposit down, i've heard nothing from yozza since 7 weeks ago that i put my order in other than initial order despite another mail i sent 3 weeks ago so i'm giving up with them, only just been on btb's website and they look bloody good so...
I have ds2500s, fitted them a couple of months back. Don't know anything about shims. They do squeek when braking lightly, it's in their nature because of the high carbon content of them, nothing to worry about unless they're squeeling all the time? Mine work brilliantly even from cold, but i...
Mine's been on order since sunday :) They're waiting for a batch to be made up. Spent months ummin and arring but decided i wanted something to put a smile on my face and think the noise of the yozza would do that better than the others around that money.
Well it sounds nice, if it's deemed to be a good'un (excuse my inexperience, only owned a trophy for a month) i'll be interested...the only other exhaust i'm looking at is the 192.
Mine are looking pretty cracked up, is it just a case of removing the plate like thing that joins the chassis to the big bars under the engine, then undoing the bolt that holds the bush clamp and sliding the old bush off etc. to replace them? Is powerflex poly's a good replacement or any...
I think the writer (can't remember who) is a bit too over excited about the looks of the puma....i think the ride height makes it look ugly...get it lower and it would all look proportional and become a beautiful car. The price of these cars is astonishingly low considering what they sold at...
I get a knock after i reverse off my drive, turn hard to left, go to first gear and start turning to right as i pull away slowly, and just as i move forward the car makes a donk noise from front susp. area somewhere.....deem this to be normal....if this sounds something similar to yours?
Okay cool, i'll pass that info on to them and they can find out off whichever renault they're getting the parts from coz i do want the pulleys changed in case the bearing dry, no point opening it all up twice.
I think the first owner of 108 done the main looking after fitting the braided hoses...
Trophy almost 4 years old obviously, don't know if aux belt has been replaced or not, gona get that done and timing belt at same time so i don't have to worry bout it...my query is, is there really such a thing as an aux belt kit... i've read posts on here about one existing but not what it...
Re: Brembo Disc Breaks
Quentin,
http://www.k-tecracing.com
I believe they sell the Pagid Blue's that cue is talking about, definately sell the brembo's and sell there own version of braided hoses.
Or have a look here http://www.yozzasport.co.uk/ These definately sell the blue pagids and...
Haha, you're upsetting the purists mate! I can hear them screaming "leave it alone!!!" from the hills in the distance. I do see there point though...the reason why a trophy is a trophy is because of the suspension, take that away and you might as well get a 182 cup for a few thousand less £££s...
A decent dent removal guy can use allsorts of fancy tools to get down and remove dings so don't worry but just might cost a few quid for the expertise.
Yeah they're not braided but the normal looking rubber hoses, but i fitted a set of braided to me fez which has that yellow sleeve like these have. The hoses i'm looking at are the short ones, passenger side rear inbetween the metal brake pipes by the rear axle. I'm number 108. No point me...
Well that settles it, thanks lads, i'll sleep easier tonight, genuinely thought it was a problem, never heard a car whistle. And it was really annoying me as people would look round and friends have been asking why it whistled and what was wrong with it! I'll get used to it i'm sure, or just...
I've been told by a Renault dealer that the 2litre in these, presumably all 182s, is supposed to whistle when running...??? And no i don't mean a little rendition of 'my 'ol man's a dustman'!
Yeah i paid for the renault dealership warranty for the year. No oil anywhere, very clean, got it booked in next week and see what they say...think it's just a worn pulley but i'll get them to fit a new belt with tensioner if this is the case...might enquire about cam belt too
Hi all, hope i'm posting in the right place. Picked up my trophy no. 108 on sunday, noticed in the past few days a whine or whiring noise which to me sounded like a pulley bearing...on searching this site someone mentioned the idler bearing, i presume on the aux belt, on their trophy was causing...
Just like to say a big thanks to the people that run this forum, don't know who you are but i'm so pleased i've found a site to support my new Trophy. During my years of Fiesta ownership a decent forum helped me and many others out no end, so looking forward to getting involved with this one...
