Naaaaah it don't make no difference, just a mixture of rust and brake dust i should imagine, just persuades the pads to stay on the disc till you give them a gentle nudge off with a bit of movement. I wouldn't want to leave the car in gear able to rock back and forth, bit disconcerting.
Exactly as above, Brembo max discs at front with Ferodo DS2500 pads, standard rear discs with pre-pressed bearings. The bearings are part of the disc, you can't take the old discs off without bringing the bearing with it. If the rear discs need replacing then the bearing will most definately...
sam it goes BROOOOM BROOOOOM BROOOOOM! maybe see u at next essex meet. It's not as loud as rich's orb, well i don't think so, not from driving behind him
How did everyone get on with this? I was the first to pick mine up and saw 4 others ready to go. Fitted it shortly after and absolutely love it. It's all hand welded and the quality of the welds is superb such a work of art. Fitting was a doddle and lines up almost perfect, one tailpipe is...
Search through old posts fella, i believe there's a box you can buy that sits inbetween the renault wiring and your stereo to allow them to work...or is it the display...i can't remember but have a look through old stuff coz ur not the first
I havn't tried sitting in my trophy with a helmet...might look a bit strange going to the shops...but on track is not possible to have ur head shoot to right and smash through the side window?? I guess you wouldn't with a harness but a normal seatbelt?
Very interesting to know lads! £24 on ebay nice one! I should have been a bit more patient, the following morning i got in and the light was off so i got my answer!
Fix the problem, go for a drive, leave it overnight and voila! I do love my trophy
Clean everything meticulasly then give the shock a light coat of a waxoyl based product, that'll protect it. When i get mine refurbed i'm going to look into getting the casing shot blasted and powder coated while it's diss-assembled, then a coat of waxoyl to protect once they're back on the car.
Thanks for the offer fella, i did wonder whether i would need one of those. Argos sell one pretty cheap but wouldn't know how to use it. I'm guessing you'd need a table of fault codes and stuff coz i'm sure it wouldn't be in plain english!
Fitted a BTB zorst a few months ago and noticed it was blowing from the cat join a few weeks ago and put it on list of things to do. Yesterday the gas monitor warning light came on. So today i covered the joint in zorst sealent for joins, clamped it back up and ran it for 20mins to harden it...
i had to bend up the heat shield to stop my new zorst from hitting it but it was more like a tapping noise. I have a clonk - it's the exhaust box hitting one of the zorst mounts, i know the orb brackets aren't standard but don't know what they're like. I stuck a felt pad on the bracket to...
lol, i have thin arms despite lifting furniture all day and was able to get a halfords 'pro' oil filter tool in the space and undo it, then re-tighten with hand, i think the lack of space in there means people can't over-tighten the filter and makes it easier to remove.
I just removed the round...
So much less messy than my fiesta! Sump plug is dead vertical so the oil comes out dead straight, not a drop going on the drive. Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 thanks to opie oils plus a new filter which was the messiest bit, awkward to get to but at least it doesn't flow down your arm! Just made the...
I'm picking mine up too, about 4 hours round trip for me. I wouldn't worry about lifetime guarantee...any stainless steel zorst will last longer than you can imagine. I have a powerflow on my old fiesta which has covered something like 60-70k miles over 5years with no problems and this is a...
Yeah fine, took my money, said i was the fourth one and that they were going ahead with them despite low numbers. Quality in those pics looks pretty darn good, nice website too, looking forward to picking it up!
