I'm with you on that one, I've always closed bonnets by pushing down on them without problem, until I owned the trophy and learnt the renault way.
As for bulbs, I had the Osram night breaker, a good bulb, although I wasn't overly impressed with how long they lasted. I'm going to try the...
I wish you were nearer, that is a very good price, and after seeing the pics you've posted on RS forum I'd have no doubts about letting you have my car for the day to make beautiful.
I'm in a similar position to you so if there's a few people at a later date I'd be interested in group buy then. It does seem a great price being offered.
I got rid of standard gear knob in three stages:-
1, Screwdriver to flip the silver coloured bit on the top.
2, Hacksaw to cut the rubber outer and then rip it off.
3, Hacksaw again, this time on the white plastic bit holding the gear knob to the stick. I did it in a lot of small pieces until...
I've heard a couple of good comments about them from people on RS. I phone for a price for aux belt but they were as expensive as the main dealers so I didn't bother.
Cheers for that Steve. I think I'll be using them for my next service then, it's due in about 2 months. I'm guessing they're cheaper than lookers renault with there £75/hr labour rates as well.
I've seen pics of them covered elsewhere and they looked awful. If I'm getting the wheel re-trimmed they've got to go, I don't want them cracking after having a retrim. If possible I'd want somewhere to mould some new grips and cover with the leather. If not just pull them off and re-trim the...
Both my handles are fading too, only slight but to me it's noticeable. I think it comes as part of the exclusive renault ownersip package, including melting steering wheels, lots of rattles, disco dashboard lights and a poor dealer network.
Has anyone on here had there's retrimmed yet ? It's the option I'm definately thinking of now mine has begun to melt next to the right thumb grip. I'm thinking alcantara and perforated leather, and hopefully get rid of those nasty rubber thumb grips if possible.
Can you let us know how you get on with them please stevie. After being let down by Renault Wirral, Lookers Chester and RUK recently I'm looking for somewhere I can trust and rely on.
How long have you had it on since refitting the cat ? Mine comes on for a few days at a time, but will turn itself off. It seems as though it's quick to come on with the slightest spurious reading, but a lot slower to realise that everything is fine.
I had Serv + Esp but also had ABS on mine, that was the ABS sensor and would have cost around £100 to replace had it not been under warranty. Can't help on just the two of them though sorry. When mine was going the light wasn't always on, it would normally come on when I was braking and then...
I just use one of the turtle wax interior shampoos then a warm damp microfibre on the leathery stuff. I've not had any problem with either of those on the yet, I just try not to get them too wet when doing it.
Red cars used to fade a lot because of the oxidised paint but I've not really seen any newer red cars looking pink like they used to because the paints now have the clearcoat. It certainly shouldn't be fading after 3-4 years.
20 minutes drive and I'm there. If you've never done it before it's a great drive. I'm bored of it now though. I agress with rex about the A543 being the best section. The B-road side is good but on the bits from Cerig' to Llyn Brennig but when you get up towards Llyn Brennig gets a bit...
I thought about it but decided it was possibly a bit expensive for a lump of metal.
I'd seen a few others on here use and was impressed by it :

Very good information there, thanks for that.
I've just been out to mine but I can't get an angle to look at them with the wheels on, look like I've got a job for tomorrow.
What are the indications that they need refurbishing ? Mine just ticked over 40k earlier so mileage wish it seems to be ready for them. I did wonder about the drive the other day thinking it was starting to feel twitchy and was concerned it could have been the dampers, but I'd not driven mine...
It wouldn't be my choice, but if you need / want a car of that type I think there's a certain coolness to it. And ideal if you start getting chased by a challenger tank.
Can I join you. I may have the degree certificate but I feel a bit of a fraud, all I can remember from uni is how good picadilly 21's in manchester was on a wednesday night.
I was thinking something very similar, I did engineering in uni so plenty of maths there, and now can't even do GCSE level maths. That means the older I get the dumber I get.
