I'm not far from Wrexham, and getting a new exhaust fitted on Friday. Going for KTR Ultra Performance Supersports. If you wanted to hear it I'm sure something could be sorted at some point.

Did you have it fitted about 2-3 weeks ago ? When I called Birchdown to ask about cost for fitting exhausts and advice they were fitting a yozza system and decat at the time.

If yours hasn't faded I'd consider something like Carlack68 Sealant which has got UV filters, that should help stop any future fading, then top off with a decent wax. I'm currently using Victoria Concours Wax and it gives a really good deep wet look and is lasting up well even with all the crap...

It does look a nice system, but I heard about it being an awkward fit so got put off and opted for the KTR Ultra system. Those photos of it look good though.

Mine got a note on MOT that the outer skins on the exhaust boxes were rusting. Mine's still not blowing but the exhaust hanger on one of the boxes has come away and doesn't look like it can be welded back on so I've had to order a new system. Good excuse for something a bit more sporty at least.

I got the same first impression from T1-Rs, and also the same second and third impression. I've had them for about 2k miles now and still don't like them. At least they seem to be wearing quite a lot for that mileage so I may be able to wear them out quickly and get back to PE2s or try...

I've driven VXR on a track and think even on a twisty road they'd be quite a decent match for a trophy, but not quite as much fun. It was a very capable car, even when chucking it through the hairpins.

I think you've answered your own question, stop start driving uses lots of fuel compared to a nice flowing run.

Another happy customer to the list. I took mine there today for the 48k service. Both blokes there are very friendly and the work was done in no time. I was even met at the road so I could find the place having driven past it first time. I'll definately be going back there for the next service.

How do these compare to the PE2s ? I was considering trying to get these last week, but opted for Toyo T1-Rs which I'm not very impressed with.

I've just got the renaultsport ones from the dealer, £50, although I don't think they're worth quite that much but they do look nice.

I took the film off mine, I remember getting told by someone on RS forum to remove them and they would be shinier underneath. :wink: I also got rid of the film on the numbered plaque as that had gone dull.

How can they justify charging that ? It's hardly state of the art.
