I'd been looking around at changing to a clio 200 or megane 250, but decided to keep the trophy and spend out on refurbing the front dampers, changing the rears, refurbing the wheels and getting the tiny little dents removed. But after finding out today my boot doesn't lock anymore I've been...
You are best using a paint cleanser / polish, just putting some Autoglyn SRP would do fine.
Another wax to consider that looks great on the trophy is Chemical Guys Pete's '53, but the durability won't be anywhere near as good as the collinite which has a very good rep for lasting months.
I've just switched to Aviva, they're a lot more competitive that Norwich Union used to be. With there two months free offer it's worked out at £329 for the year with a £250 total excess, I'm 27, 7 years ncb (they work to 5 as maximum), car garaged. The only downside is their excess is £50, but...
There's no doubt the 200 is a great car, I've been considering changing the trophy for one (or possibly a meg 250). The one I test drove only had 10 miles on when I got in so was far from run in but still felt quite a keen engine, the turn in was very sharp, it felt stable and grippy in the...
It's awful isn't it, and without checking the sound tells you you've clipped more than just the tyre on the kerb. I caught mine for the first time in 2 1/2 years yesterday, i was gutted. I've been meaning to get the alloys refurbed properly as they are beginning to flake around some of the...
My favourite is the B4391 in both directions from Bala, either heading towards Blaenau Ffestiniog, or in the other directions towards some Welsh named place. If you go towards Blaenau then you can go over a B road towards Ysbyty Ifan. If you go the other way drop down towards Llyn Efyrnwy and...
I get it exactly like described, I was meaning to post on here questionning what it could be. The only difference is the lower ball join was changed 2 years ago while still under warranty, and I've not had any other major work. It's definately more prominent when reversing, although I can't...
It's certainly possible, it's just hard work and you have to be patient. I've managed it with both abrasive polishes, and with filler glazes or polishes. It's been by no means perfect, but certainly improved and better than the majority of cars on the road. One product I found very easy to...
For hand polishing I use the SFX Pro Applicators or the Lake Country German Applicator. They're basically the same but different colours. They're a nice size to use and have two different foams in the for different levels of cut.
I had one for Christmas and have only had an hour with it doing the bonnet, the difference was very noticeable though, I can't wait to get a couple of full days to spare to do it.
If it wasn't so far away I would. But it's probably best I afford swissvax anyway, I'd end up leaving with some Best of Show or something equally priced that would be better put towards a house deposit.
Even with the number of 182's around, it might still not be value for money for them producing what is probably still a low volume tyre. I know of the forums a lot of owners stick to the PE2s, but there's plenty of used 182's with all sorts of different tyres on. At least like you say, this...
It can get very addictive and the costs mount up very quickly. I find my problem is I always want to try new products before I've finished the ones I've already got, so buy stuff unnecessarily.
I saw those the other week when looking around, I wonder whether it's the end of the PE2 given the PS3 is available in the same size/speed/load rating.
Paintwork is 3 years and corrosion I thought was 12 years. I had 2 resprays on an old bonnet, a new bonnet and a further respray on that all under warranty. I still wasn't completely happy but I gave up in the end.
Most likely at the time I bought the trophy it would have been the old CTR. There wasn't much else around 2 1/2 for £10k that offered similar performance that I liked. The mini cooper S wwasn't good enough value iirc so I would have had to have one that was probably twice as old as the trophy...
Mine gave three beeps when locking it when I first had it occasionally. I took it to Renault and they changed a wire in the block connector somewhere. It was something to do with the alarm detecting a power source somewhere, but I wasn't really listening the the service guy when he was...
I'm not bothered one bit, the council around me don't seem to be bothering gritting. I've passed a few gritters going the other way and haven't heard one bit of grit hitting the car as I've done in the past.
And me. The Vauxhall Forums must be busy voting to get that where it is. Surely people can't be voting and thinking it's the car of the decade, it's a rebadged Lotus, hardly revolutionary. I think out of those the GT-R should really be the winner, but I've got to be loyal to the beast on the...
Or check this one.

I've just had one fitted and it seems very well made, and it's not overly loud most of the time, it's certainly possible to drive around town without sounding like a complete boy racer.
That's good to see, I forgot to vote for a couple of days. To really make the trophy win we need to make sure no other renaultsports get into the final so the trophy gets a chance to get all the renaultsport votes. It should add about an extra £1.27 onto the value of all our cars then.
Aye, the same as the above, it doesn't seem to cut power unnecessarily so I don't see the point of switching it off, it's there to try and save my life if needs be.
Although it's the V, I've had ATS question it in the past, their computer systems have got it down as a W. So have some online sites where you can search by car iirc.
I had my KTR Ultra Performance fitted on friday. For a motorway commute, the supersports version is awful, much too boomy for my liking, but the tone when driving round on all other roads is pretty good, not too loud, but with a nice throaty note. I wish I'd have spent the extra £30 and gone...
