I was dissapointed with mine the other day, nowhere near as cold as other car's I've driven with aircon. Kwik-fit used to advertise you only payed if they dropped your coldest setting a small amount, not sure if that's still the case. They should be able to do 182's by now.
I've not noticed dents on the crease line, but if you catch the right angle there's numerous dents on the front of my bonnet from what appear to be stones but that haven't chipped the paintwork. I knew the paintwork was cheap but the metals seem to be just as bad.
K-Tec site says it's a vast improvement over the standard black plastic grill. surely they can't lie on their website os it must be true. I don't see how though, it looks vile. I had though of painting calipers red, but I'm liking the idea to paint them anthracite even more. I think the...
I'm loving that article, I can remember reading it when I was still dreaming of owning one, but it wasn't my magazine so I haven't got a copy. Cheers for the link.
If you can afford both get the trophy. By using the R32 as the daily driver and the trophy for the weekends you'll keep the mileage down nicely, meaning it will become one of the sought after ones with time.
I saw those times on another thread and someone mentioned later than it was the megane trophy that achieved that time. Does anyone have the definitive answer on that ? It would be nice to think the clio trophy has set that lap and destroyed just about every other hot hatch.
I'd love to keep mine, but the mileage is getting very close to 30k. Possibly in a year or two I'll be able to afford a cheap weekday runaround, possibly a small diesel fiesta or corsa that will cost nothing to run. It should then make me appreciate the trophy even more on weekends.
I'm from that area, sometimes frequent cheshire oaks. busy for the next month with work exam, but following that I'll have plenty of time to spare. If you haven't got the pic by then send us pm.
Just read post again, it makes no sense sorry.
There are a load of tiny little dents but without the paintwork being chipped.
II've also got loads of tiny stones chips but slowly making them unnoticable with touch up paint and a cocktail stick.
My bonnet is covered in loads of tiny little dents that I assume are caused by stones hitting the bonnet, although they haven't dented the paintwork. Has anyone noticed this on their bonnet, and has anyone had any companies remove these ?
20th not too good for me, it's my birthday and off out on the 19th so not likely to be fit to drive until the 21st. Agree on the idea not to publicise route, just in case either get idiot boy racers trying to gatecrash (and probabably crash literally too) or eager traffic cop wanting to spoil...
Liverpool and Manchester both alright for me, but I don't know the roads there to know if there are any good country roads so we're not stuck in traffic lights the whole time.
On the seat runners there is a funny little metal rocker thing. spray some wd40 on that and give it a little prod. I had problem with seat not sliding then tilted to let people in the back on old car and just a little play with that seemed to free it up. Sorry if it doesn't make much sense...
25k on mine and not bad, but I'm sure the passenger door trim rattle is getting worse, sounds a lot worse than my 206gti did with 75k on, and I thought Renault were meant to be the quality french car (if one does actually exist). I think the car may shake itself to bits over time.
Already looks like a decent number. I've never seen more than my trophy on its own, would be good seeing a few together. Looking forward to WSR later this year, I was 2 weeks too late with my trophy last year.
I do find i get more back ache in the trophy than in do in most other cars (bar my 206gti which also seemed to have very limite adjustment). I think the bigges problem is that I can't have the seat base any closer to the wheel or my knees catch on the wheel, meaning I need a very upright seat...
Just tried again and I still think it seems ok, maybe slightly slower but narrowed down to trophy's as well as it used to. The counter is reasonably useful too.
