For the second day running the south batch made it out on the wagon first thing in the morning but remain undelivered and are now back at the depot. Again. Still.
The weather looks better tomorrow but I doubt they do Saturday deliveries, so I might have to 'work from home' on Monday.
At least...
According to the tracking they're out for delivery again today but looking at the conditions on my residential road I'd be amazed if they make it here today.
Good things come to those who wait...
Don't rule out the 'full fat' 182.
With both Cup packs fitted I think it's a great proposition.
I'm not sure the 182 Cup is special enough to command special attention. A 172 Cup, however...
Thanks for the various offers ladies and gentlemen, but before we start the distribution phase (and no, they've not arrived with me yet) we just need to cross the ts and dot the is then everything can be confirmed.
The outstanding issue still remains, that we're 2 pairs short in the south...
These are just taking up space, so happy if anyone wants to make any kind of offer...
I appreciate they're only 195/45/16 and not 205/45/16 but you could pretend ;)
If you'd like to see the photos I can send them to you or just check out my for sale posts on Cliosport.net and the Clio...
What are the chances, Nik?! That's an incredibly kind gesture, thank you!
If Nik does deliver to 'The Stratford Two' that still leaves us 2 pairs short in the south.
Nik, assuming you have room for 4 sets in your vehicle, I could meet you on your way back down and collect another 2 sets. But...
Couldn't agree more!
EFA
I count 16 people on the 'south' list and I'm only expecting to receive 13 pairs but I'm sure we can work something out.
Hopefully the order and despatch goes smoothly then as soon as the 13 are in my possession I'll publish my storage costs ;)
I've merged into a single list.
I've also added locations where known (/guessed) in case we want to pursue the opportunity for further discount if shipped to a single location.
1) BenG (Lake District)
2) Ashtons99 (Doncaster)
3) Greatwhyte
4) Braddaz1
5) Mark (Jersey)
6) 317T (Tom)
7) pete...
I wouldn't (/couldn't) do that to Mossy, his OCD would go into overdrive and I couldn't have that on my conscience ;)
I agree though, there's plenty to think about. First and foremost let's get to 20 names.
I wonder how many miles it would be to deliver to all (mainland UK) purchasers in one...
Great work Ben, I think 20 is achievable.
As for a single shipping location, I'm happy to receive and store. People can collect as and when they visit this part of the world (West Berkshire), or vice versa when I'm on my travels. Nobody is going to be in a rush for them after all.
It could...
1) BenG
2) Ashtons99
3) Greatwhyte
4) Braddaz1
5) Mark
6) 317T (Tom)
7) pete oconnor
8)
9)
10)
If 20% discount can be accessed
1) Claude
2) Optical
3) Some guy called Rik

Surely someone with deep pockets can facilitate the group buy and pick up all remaining stock, then hold the rest of us to ransom over the coming years.
Incorrect.
Cooksport springs don't offer as compliant a ride at low speeds on broken surfaces as I found the Eibach Sportlines did, but that's just my personal experience.
Welcome aboard Ads!
Can you define what 'better' means? That will help people give you the most objective response.
Speaking for myself, and perhaps the OP too, getting someone to make a closest match possible is what I had in mind. I certainly don't expect Renault to be of any assistance for a one-off unique sticker.
I wonder if @DaveS can offer any support?
My renewal with Greenlight would only agree the value at £6.5k so I've gone to Keith Michaels.
More expensive premium but agreed value more aligned to my requirements.
At the end of the day, if the replacement engine has been serviced correctly does it make a huge amount of difference?
I mean, my Trophy may have had an un-documented engine change prior to my ownership and it hasn't (yet) proved detrimental to me or future owners.
Just to update this, I have received confirmation that the plate will be going into the very next timed auction in Jan-18.
I've been informed that I should receive automated e-mail prompts at the time, but I've also set personal reminders so there's no chance I'll miss out on the opportunity to...
Just had a quick scan on PH and AT and there's just a single Trophy for sale, unless I've cocked up the search parameters.
I don't look regularly but I can't remember a time when pickings were so slim.
Anyone else, or does it happen annually on bonfire night? ;)
