Good luck with the sale, Dave, 338 looks like a fantastic opportunity for someone to get into a 182 Trophy!
It’s a real shame you’re leaving the fold, perhaps you’ll be back when your lad is a bit older? All the best
I don’t think it’s a stretch to imagine 30/40/50 pairs selling.
A bit more reach posting on various Facebook groups and other forums and I’m sure the demand would be out there.
The bigger volumes may take a little time to sell but I have no doubt they’d sell.
I’ve decided to take the plunge - I’ve had a refurbished box for a while now, and while it was being overhauled last year I thought it was a good time to add a Quaife. It’s all going to be fitted into the car next week ahead of a weekend in Wales next month to see what all the fuss is about...
I think the problem will be finding someone prepared to take the risk, after all, who’s to say it might not cost double that and some to secure a pass.
A 12 month ticket will make it much easier to sell I’d have thought, price-dependent, of course.
If it only just scraped through with a brand...
Just seen a post on the Clio Sport Owners Club facebook group where a chap called Jesse Liet, who may well be in the Netherlands, has 20 pairs, in case anyone’s interested.
It’s either Jack at Royal, or the man called ‘Snappy’.
I’ve used neither and don’t believe there’s a great difference between the two.
There are plenty of pictures of options - choose what you like and go for it!
Two Techs in Dartford get decent press, not sure if that’s a feasible distance from you. Engine Dynamics too, but I’m not sure where they are.
I’d be wanted by it done ASAP given it’s 3 years overdue, the risks are high.
You go weeks without any changes then two pairs go in as many days.
Pleasure to meet you, Phil. Interesting reading about the Simca 3 - who knew?! Here’s hoping you can make the lap of Wales next year.
Just one set left now - Andy - I’m planning to bring yours to Wales, if that’s still your...
Not at all, thanks for coming to pick them up, I’m just sorry I couldn’t meet you half way or have that pint. Not to worry, only a few weeks until Wales (y)
‘belts’ not ‘belt’ was my interpretation, plus a specialist like Rentech is unlikely to do cam belt without aux belt I would have thought.
Not sure how relevant it is, if it was me I’d get it done ASAP whether it was done in Jan 16 or not.
I agree, although I didn’t see any mention of the aux belt being changed. Worthy of a check as they’re every 36k / 3 years I think.
Assuming it was done in Jan 2016 when the cam belt was changed then it’ll need doing soon.
I assume you’ve checked out the information in the owners register? There’s an entire thread dedicated to #192, not sure you’re likely to get more info than what you find there but you never know!
