Cheers all. I've no idea if they used anything in particular on the plastics although I did replace the section that's at headlight level a few years back as the original was faded.
I don't think mine ever had this in my ownership.
Apologies on the lack of update, there were a couple of minor things I wanted Protek to sort- nothing major, a couple of shut lines were a little off and a window surround seal was a little kinked, Cannot fault their customer service though and...
Cheers. The inner arches were an eye opener as well. Kev (Gally on cliosport) said the fuel filler area was a bit worse than expected but the rest of the inner arches were actually fairly typical!
Suspect all but the most pampered garage queens might have hidden areas behind the main...
Has anyone tried these?
The name seems to bely the fact this isn't really a touring tyre and is in fact very capable. I've had Michelin PS3's for a while now but might give the Premium Contact 6 a go next time I'm due a change. I'm aware we aren't spoilt for choice in our size when it comes to...
SWR are an absolute no-brainer IMO, Michael there is brand new.
I've been using them for the major stuff since I got mine in 2014 and that was travelling all the way through from Carnoustie and now Stonehaven.
Open Saturday mornings as well which is handy for drop-off/collection without having...
I say this as advice from experience (and ignorance of thinking Renaults will forever manage to avoid rust).
Try and get the undersides of your cars properly protected by someone who knows what they're doing. I'd been used to BMW's of the early 2000's (e46 and e39) so was familiar with common...
No luck with the garage. They've done a load of fault finding, swapping injectors, compression check etc. and can't find anything. They hadn't replaced the o-ring I supplied though, despite me asking to change it and the owner is becoming a cheeky prick so they can get fucked from now on...
Is that o-ring definitely the only seal/gasket worth checking at this point? Away to order it and want to check there's nothing else worth a shout initially.
Plugs, leads and coil pack all replaced, apparently running fine. Went to pick it up tonight and when the mechanic went to get the car it was misfiring constantly now- but on cylinder 2 now, not 3.
I'll see how it runs tomorrow but is the fact that a different cylinder is now misfiring...
Would need to double check when the plugs and leads were changed, reckon about 2017 off the top of my head. All injectors and the pre-cat O2 sensor were changed 4 years ago.
My code reader has identified a misfire on cylinder 3 but curious if the symptoms here can point towards anything in particular before I take it to a garage-
Revs with no issue when in neutral only (no load)
Obviously misfires when trying to accelerate in any gear at low revs- happens from...
Mine have sat about for almost 2 years, need to get the finger out and will be sending them to cornering force again.
Other than the wiper seal mod, is there anything else of note to be aware of that may have changed in the last 2 years?
Hmm the rear have just been cleaned up as one was sticking so I'd hope that wasn't contributing. Maybe the fronts need a proper clean as well.
Regarding pads I'm tempted to stick some Pagid ones in, haven't tried them before and they're not expensive.
Three eh? :unsure:/;)
Thank you all for the input. Brake fluid was actually changed at the same time as all discs and pads last summer. Everything bar the front pads is OE Renault, front pads are TRW which I've liked in the past compared with OE Renault. I'd fully overhauled the calipers in...
Does anyone else have issues with braking performance when cold?
Don't get me wrong, I know cold braking is never going to be peak performance but this always happens to me a while after getting the discs and pads changed and is at the sort of level where an emergency stop would look absolutely...
