Francis, the PPF has already come to my rescue twice - and it was as a result of the first incident that I decided to get it refreshed and go full PPF (originally the car had PPF only on the front bumper, bonnet, sills, impact areas around the wheel arches, rear wing and leading edge of the...
I hear you @Titan - finding a quality body shop/painter is increasingly difficult it seems these days!
(And sorry, I completely missed the "205" bit in your original post, although my points still stand!)
Yes, that sounds about right in my experience. I only mentioned it as I know some people...
I've not been very active of late for various reasons, but I always like to check-in and hope to start contributing again soon. Yup, probably one of the friendliest forums I've been a part of. :)
If it's a cherished Trophy and wearing fresh paint then I think you have a good case for PPF application (and then ceramic coating on top of that). I would certainly consider it.
A quality PPF does not really diminish the flake of a metallic paint, nor does it affect the gloss too much. In...
I know the result. :p I was approached by Pistonheads (Ben, as many of you know - absolute gent) about using my T for the results editorial/article. Sadly, my T is still broken so won't be making an appearance this time. :(
EDIT: I'm sworn to secrecy, so no - don't ask. :ROFLMAO:
I believe Foz has just announced (recently) that he has a fresh batch made up and for sale. Sadly, I can't find the flippin' link or remember where I read it!
Interesting mate... I say that because I was massively disappointed by the Focus RS, hence it would be towards the bottom of the list for me. Obviously, it's a very personal/subjective thing but my then partner and I walked away disappointed, went over the road to the Honda dealer, and bought a...
Nick - you won't be able to edit historic posts sadly. When you create a post/reply, I believe there is a limited amount of time only in which edits can be made. After that time is up, the post is effectively locked in. At that point, it requires moderator/admin intervention to make changes.
I loved the gear knob in the EP3 Type-R - unless it was very cold or very hot, in which case there was a certain amount of pain and discomfort to be endured until said item was eventually acclimatised to one's hand. :ROFLMAO:
I find it hard to look past this at the moment. It just works...
I have exactly the same issue, especially when putting the Porker in there having returned from a spirited drive with warm Cup2 tyres. If I forget to put wood/tiles down I then end up pulling the paint and having to scrub the tyres a bit to remove the cr4p from the tread!
I would be using my Trophy as a daily driver if it were running, but that's not the case at the moment. Hence I've been using the GT4 (reluctantly) when I've not been unable to use my missus' Abarth. Mind you, all three are off the road at the moment so we walk or go nowhere! :(
Thank you - your kind words are appreciated, too.
Thank you, Nick - and thanks for the offer of help regarding trade prices too. Once I'm back up and running I may well give you a shout! All the best mate!
Apologies for the lack of updates recently - it's been a difficult time of late and I've simply not had the time or energy to put into it. I'm hoping to pick it up again in the coming months.
It's not just a case of a new battery sadly, Dave. A new alternator is needed as well, and a diagnosis to find out where/why the electrics are messed up. It's cost me thousands again this year and I've nothing to show for it. It was due a respray but had to cancel because it wasn't drivable. I...
My Trophy is still in the same place (on my driveway) where it broke down a few months ago. I've chock'd it with bricks and it's staying there until I can be bothered to deal with it again. And to think I was going to put it alongside the Porsche in the heated garage for winter. Too bad. It can...
TrophyTracker updated to v1.8.2
This is only a very minor update to the Stats page whereby per year seller/buyer listings can be toggled on/off under the "Seller Price Trends" and "Buyer Price Trends" respectively.
In the example below, the user has selected "2022" as the year and decided the...
There aren't many ultra-low milers about these days - probably less than two handfuls that show less than 20k miles. It's unlikely those examples will be seen for sale for some time (if at all) and, as @sj2112 says, they will probably command top dollar! Then again, you never know when one of...
The GT4 can be a lot of fun, even more so than the Trophy. However, the GT4 is also a lot more sensitive to road and weather conditions in which case the Trophy often is the better - and more fun - car to drive.
Hi Mike,
I've received your details - thank you. I am currently away from my computer but will update later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.
