I am (in training) but I'm away for the weekend.
Back now, I would love a Jonathan Palmer Experience, great fun. Loads of Architects are into fast cars, it goes with the personality as they're very competitive in nature and generally into technical achievement.
Abroad - Barcelona, best...
RS Tuning I think is a rubbish name for a business, doesn't sound very self-assured. RS Tuning was catchier.
I love those Spiders, the principle at least. Shame a Williams makes better use of it's engine, being lighter!
I was on the A3 into London for about 2 hours on Friday night because one little section had flooded. Incredible, our Capitol crippled becsuse of some rain, the Japanese have tsunamis, earthquakes, monsoons, volcanoes, hurricanes, overpopulation and lactose intolerance and still have a stronger...
Nope, I'm saying that unclipping the gaiter first is a good option, and don' pussy around with the hairdryer, make that thing hot to touch, wrap it in a tea towel and turn it with the grips like it's an airlock door and you're suffocating. It will suddenly give up so don't punch the steering...
I also think that twisting the OE one off can damage the plastic clips at the base of the gear gaiter, I had to replace this a week or so after fitting, luckily it's only a fiver (it's more closely related to an LP than a cow).
Richbrook one is best available for 182 in my opinion. I'm having...
One of the beauties of not owning a Clio, I never have to look at that site again for the rest of my life! Can't even click on that link I'm afraid.
I think it shows that the Trophy is still the Clio benchmark if they keep trying to slate it. They're also forgetting that it was critically...
Get bill for replacement mirror, send bill to the turd with a polite letter saying he can pay it now or pay the bill, plus court fees when you sue him through moneyclaim online. Get your insurance company involved if this doesn't work, they will get an insurance agent to investigate, then the...
it's collection only now as I won't have time this week to get to the post office and it's got to go. So put your latest bids down for collection please.
Olly you nutter, you said you were going to keep this car standard! 250bhp at the fly, that thing was fast enough as it was, insane. You're going to be chewing up WRX's and spitting them out now.
Wow! Congratulations for taking the wheels off and doing in the arches, very committed!
Carbon splitter looks good, always wanted one of those. Is that the Milltek exhaust? Looks v.nice.
Right then, who wants it? Whoever offers me the most today gets the wheel and tyre. Postage will be on top and Olly said there is a courier service that is quite cheap but I'd much rather not have to package it up, put it back in my car and get to the post office so a bid for collection is worth...
True, the DC2 is group 18, same as the Trophy, phoned up to change vehicle, valued at £7250 (Trophy was valued at £13,000) and they wanted an extra £111 for the remainder of the policy, an extra 9 months! I was not pleased.
Magnet for tea leaves and nob-head drivers it seems.
I'm not going with Olly to FCS now, and he hasn't taken the wheel so it's still open to offers, if Omega Red doesn't want to pick it up or have it sent, then the highest bidder is OliS with £60.
15's are the way forward, means you can have stiffer suspension and still get a decent ride.
My first car had 15's and they were perfect, it was a 1.9 too, I'm going backwards!
I had a drive in this last night and was very impressed, I said before that this was not my sort of car, I imagined it would feel heavy and have dull responses - not so. It has constant massive torque on tap and I hate to say it but would murder a Trophy in gear and to 100, it pulls so hard out...
OK, whoever has the highest bid by Saturday gets it, I might be going with chiefbadger to FCS but either way it can go with him if the winner wants to pick it up there.
Just had a test run in Olly's R26 and he had a go in the DC2, my God, that R26 is a quick car! Looks awesome in Black too...
Yep they should have Speedline Corse stickers on, any amount of wonderwheels or scouring will rub it straight off though.
BTW this photo shows the current condition of the wheel as it was swapped over not long after this, it's also Permagarded and spotlessly clean! The tyre has wear about 2...
Hee hee hee, knew that would rock your OCD boat Lukey boy, Nothing to do with me being Trophyless, I'm coping very well.
Besides, I love you guys otherwise I wouldn't still be lurking around here would I?
The Orbisound thing used to piss me off too, not as much as breaks instead of brakes...
Erm, have you thought about a DC2, maybe? Doesn't have the problems of being slower and less fun to drive, it's as reliable as a performance car can be and looks quite nice parked in the sunshine too. I also paid off my overdraft with the change and told Lloyds TSB to go fu(k themselves.
Sorry...
Ahh, no wonder that bottle of Skotch I spilt whilst driving recently just rolled off the seats!
Kidding of course, I hoovered that car more than the flat!
You lucky man, I forgot how important a fruity exhaust note was, means you don't have to drive the nuts off a car to feel like you're motoring!
If I wasn't the poorest man in the world when I drove through France, this would have been a must.
This much;
This was taken the day it happened and looks a lot better now, it rubbed the kerb. didn't hit it so there's no impact damage, warping of the rim or protruding metal anywhere, it just gauged a nice three inch stripe from the face! I was not a happy man.
