Yeh, all the guys on the DC5 forum are fuming, saying that the DC5 driver wasn't using all the revs like the Civic driver clearly was and had crap lines. You can't refute the fact that the JDM Civic is stupidly good through the corners though, it turns in later and on a tighter radius than the...
A little vid for anyone thinking of a JDM CTR...

That's incredible, OK, do the 350X and S2000, but hold off the NSX? that's insane. I want one.
Good one Sam, the standard Trophy items are shee-ite. I've got a 7 year old 'stripped out road racer' that didn't even have a radio fitted as standard and the speakers are miles better than the Trophy ones. They start to crackle with the volume about half way, if I kept XOG I would have done...
:)
:D
Glad to see it's gone to a good home Sam, I love what you've done with the interior, the gear knob's a great choice and those personalised mats are to die for...
Good Luck with XOG, have many fun miles with her.
Your number five is the same as mine then G. It's a 1967 Dark Moss 390GT (the 390 is the capacity of the small block V8 in cubic inches). 0-60 in 6.2 seconds (same as my Integra, strangely). Registration JJZ 109 and I will own one, some day.
I know Lee and I think you're right, but I just love the UK ones and they're hardly compromised compared with the JDM Integras unlike the Civics! There's not much difference between them in fact.
Steve, I can see what you're saying and in some ways I would rather have a car that's tested...
What are you saying?!?
I held out for a CW UKDM, only one to have IMO. Red and Black colours were just to broaden the appeal to people who don't know their racing heritage.
JDM ones aren't as good on UK roads or look as pretty (although I know you disagree with me here Lee)...
I'm driving to Gower tonight, not in a Trophy though, unfortunately. That's where I learnt to drive the Trophy properly, the roads are too crowded down here. Can't wait to find out how the Integra measures up against the Trophy's ground covering ability and thrills per corner, it's got it's work...

Just come on the market, you won't find many with mileage this low, if you fancy a change, might get some change left over from a Trophy. Stunning car.
Wires are being crossed here. The 172 Cup is a fair bit lighter than the Trophy, it weighs 1011kg due to it having no ABS, TC, Air con of any description and thinner glass and aluminium bonnet. 182 Cup is about the same (heavier wheels and unsprung weight though), Cup packed 182 (This is what...

Right at the beginning of this clip, when Quentin asks Harry what car he drove in!
I actually won the competition to go and ask them a question about CO2 related car issues but I'm on holiday in Wales next week and can't make it to...
2 of those shots are definitely Steve C's. Lock up is his and the roadside picture too. I suppose it's a lot easier than taking and uploading your own pictures!
Rex, nice to see you on here, Steve at www.allvehicles.co.uk always has one or two in stock (Mine has been sold I've just learned). Very, very good time to buy.
Absolutely, totally 100% normal Gareth, the gasket isn't exactly impermeable and oil collects on the manifold, keep an eye on your oil levels (via the dipstick), if it's Ok and not going down, no problem.
I've always thought Trophys as it's a name rather than the noun Trophy, which would pluralise as Trophies, and Trophy's implies something belonging to the Trophy, ie. the Trophy's wheels are Anthracite.
A vote is in order, I think.
Welcome to CT Dee!
You should get one as low mileage and mint as possible as there are plenty out there and the prices have plummeted accordingly. I lost £4000 on mine! Worth every penny.
Mine is still for sale I believe, try here; www.allvehicles.co.uk
There aren't really any issues...
Very strange. Apart from the fact all 50 of the Swiss Trophys were LEFT HAND DRIVE, they would be Swiss registered. WTF? They have a normal 'Cup' rear spoiler too, and no chin spoiler.
Are you sure he had a Trophy with a km/h gradated speedometer?
Do lots of shopping, Greenlight brokers are great, cheap (£497 for me, 27 with three years no-claims, 3 points and a high risk area (see here for your code; http://www.geocities.com/mpgcalc/postcodeRISK.html )) and trackday and modification friendly. They're very nice people too, except if it...
Taking out the back seats is a doddle, just need two different sizes of Torx bit on the end of your screwdriver. The whole lot including jack, isofix etc. weighs about 20kg so it's maybe worth it for a trackday, but the difference it makes to your lap time/feel of the car is insignificant. The...
19 seconds to 100 is slow for even a hot hatch these days, excusable if it was much better to drive than it's faster predecessor. But it isn't.
It's still a very nice, interesting looking car in it's own right though, just not sure about it wearing the Red H, it's too compromised and not raw...
I was going to say Lee, change the oil and filter yourself as it's pretty straight forward on a 182 (read the guide on here) that way it costs you £50 and you have more to spend on the suspension set-up, of which I have nothing to add.
