Could you post a picture or two of it up Dave? I was tempted by the Milltek but I prefer the fact that the Janspeed has a single back box and therefore should be lighter and that they do a sports cat to go with it.
That would be my choice, Black with Orange wheels, I don't mind the Orange car but Black is much better. That Kermit Green that EVO always show it in is absolutely horrid, not even a GT3 can get away with it.
That GT3 is so menacing in the metal that it manages to make the F40 alongside look...
Hi David
An old one this, but I'm glad you've brought it up because some of the newbies might not know...
The 'click' at the end of the throttle travel is actually a button to deactivate or override the speed limiter, you will have 100% throttle opening without depressing this button but...
If you see it you need to learn how to drive. It flashes moments before you bounce off the electronic limiter and is of absolutely no practical use whatsoever, it just cost nothing to be there I suppose.
Nah, a Trophy's quicker than a T5, 300bhp doesn't count for much in a car that weighs more than Neptune.
I like the new TT's, actually prefer them to the old one. And they're a much better car by all accounts.
Hi Tashon, Welcome to ClioTrophy. :D
What's this bollocks about the motorway ride? I've done 350 miles journeys in it, used to commute 50 miles a day and will be driving 850 miles to the South of France in three weeks with the girlfriend. If the ride was that bad I don't think I'd be doing...
That's fucking awesome. I've got all the Star Wars books and alot of the old toys from when I was a nipper. I found out recently that my preserved and boxed Miilenium Falcon, AT-ST, X-Wing and Tie Fighter were all binned when my arsehole father cleared out my Grandad's attic upon his death...
This is just a small selection of some of the cheaper tat that was rolling around that day, I tend not to photograph the really expensive stuff. For those who didn't make it, maybe next time? It was good to see Rich again and Steve Coulter (allvehicles) who made the sensible choice of going in...
And here is the little beaut...
I thought I would wait until I'd given it a thorough road test before passing judgement so I can now say that it is an absolutely essential bit for kit for anyone who likes to go around corners and not shift about in the seat and for those who suffer lower back...
I found it hard getting the info about removing the OE gear knob so thought I would post up my method on here for those who don't fancy getting the hacksaw out.
1. Pop the silver insert out with a flat bladed screwdriver, to avoid damage.
2. Heat the bastard up with a hairdryer until it is...
I edited your post to say £12,000 rather than £12,0000, hope you don't mind. I also highlighted the fact that you've probably got the lowest mileage example Trophy For Sale in the UK and it would be the one If I were looking now. That's incredible, mine came with 1950 miles (which I...
Excellent video! Nice work controlling that slide CA, can I just offer a tiny piece of advice?
Don't include that video link in your advert come sale time.
Personally I'd get a 172 Cup, because it is the purest driver's car out of all the RS's (Williams and Spider excluded) and can get a minter for £5K.
182 Cups are actually quite rare (539 made for the UK - less than Trophys) and will still cost about £8.5K, better to get a Cup packed 182...
You think that's funny, check this little guy out, when I first saw this I was working in a bank in a gap year, I pissed myself laughing so much I got the sack!
EDIT - pics don't work (Thanks Cue), go here and click on each one to see.

It's very simple to fit, and once you're used to it very simple to use, I keep it 'ON' all the time and just use the rotating lever to release it a bit to get it on, the secret is to sit back really hard against the seat back, then give it a good old yank on the shoulder strap so it's tight...
Are those the spies you speak of. As in the Joshua spies. They're everywhere, watch 'em.
I've never greased up my bonnet opener, Is this normal practice? Should I be worried?
...and his number is?
I've got OCD but odd numbers don't bother me, in fact my favourite number is 9. I wonder if we should do a poll to see how many Trophy owners have it? I know Steve C is one sufferer. It's ridiculously common in Architects too, I'm surrounded by the twitchy feckers. I...
Cheers Day, I was scratching my head for a full five seconds trying to work out what the hell this meant. Incidentally I've got the free broadband from the pub over the road and the signal drops off so much at times, it's like dial-up!
That's sad news indeed Gareth, but I'm sure you'll stick around afterwards, put in the occasional appearance, especially if you get an R26 (which I'm 99% sure you will), it will be great to hear a proper write-up of it from a former Trophy owner. One of the only new cars worthy of it's...
Another statto, LOL, I too noticed that only a couple of cars have beaten it on score, although these are relative to the group test, hence it being beaten by the Ford and Ferrari.
This year, only the 599 beat it!
I'm contemplating ripping a star off you for this post David!
You bought the Trophy because of the colour and seats?!?
The 182 and 182 Cup was indeed a superb hot hatch, if you remember Evo had it in the knowledge as their recommended hot hatch for ages, they thought it better than the 4...
