    Trophy

Wow, now that is a problem most people would love to have. Which keys do you take, Red or Yellow  The Trophy has shined up lovely after its fresh bath as well.

    Trophy

Everyone knows that sort of dust only increases the value of the car its resting on. Well that's the impression various sellers and auction sites would give you at least ;) Best of luck with the test.

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

They would certainly make a pretty decent double team to try it at least, I'd have thought Ed. Both would be very well connected, and if I'm not mistaken, I think the #001 owner is also French (I believe).

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

If you were to try and do something like that, the person who came into my head, was a certain Mr. H Metcalfe. As a long time owner, he must be thinking about what to do with his car, knowing that it will only get harder to keep his car going, as originally designed and intended. To me...

    The (Tourist)Trophy...

The one that sticks in my memory is this one from 2010.... Guy Martin is busy doing a summersault in there somewhere!!!

    The (Tourist)Trophy...

I'm the same as that Ed. I know a very little about bikes, but always try and watch at least some of the IOM TT. It is probably the very last of a no holds barred dance with death. The physicality of going what they do, managing somehow to hold on for the distance around the course and over...

While at the BP garage in Spain today

I remember a good friend buying a Metro Turbo for peanuts back in the late 90's. White with red stripes I think. Was a quick little thing, from memory it cornered unbelievably flat as well. How he didn't kill himself in it,I'll never know,he drove it flat out...everywhere.

    Alpine A110 GT.

Its great to see interesting and different colours like that compared to the white/black and greys that appear omni present in nearly every other car you see these days. Something bright and eye catching like that yellow, really suits a fun car like that, very nice car.

    Blyton Park 2024..

Sounds like a great day out Ed and as you say, different again as its reserved for the "original" of the species ;) Looks like you got the weather as well, which always makes such a big difference to events like this. Plus a very worthy charity gets something out of it as well.

    Blyton Park 2024..

Is that a new event Ed,cant say I've heard about it before. What track is it held on?

    Alpine A110 GT.

Love that Nick, never seen one in yellow before. Is that a trade bidding site or open to the public?

    Blyton Park 2024..

I reckon both you and the car are a shoe in for the next Goodwood Revival Ed ;) You certainly have that "get the hell outta my way" racing driver stare nailed down  Both Tweedy and that lovely 1071 S, two very fine specimens of the original little tearaway.

    At the Auctions on Wednesday

While it might not set your hair on fire, what a cool thing to just cruise about in. Especially at this time of the year. Really like that green as well.

    Bicester Scramble 21/04/24

Sounds good, be nice to see some pictures from it, if you get any.

    Bicester Scramble 21/04/24

There cant be too many places where you can see so many different/unobtaimium cars and see petrol heads like Mr. Harris strolling about.

    West Lothian (Scotland)

Still, its a real pity to see something like that in that sort of state. And by the sounds of your investigations Marc,it might be very lucky to escape that particular area in one piece,or as Renault intended!!

EVO magazine issue #135 - "100 Greatest Drivers Cars"

They are probably well into the land of nod  at this time of the year Ed, catching up on some much needed shut eye ;)

    Trophy for sale on Autotrader

Wonder if the rear shocks are standard Trophy one's, or maybe Cup?

EVO magazine issue #135 - "100 Greatest Drivers Cars"

I can fully agree, that it will be extremely well and carefully packaged by Ed. Some say....he takes over the Xmas present packaging department in the North Pole every year.... He's a bloody master at it ;)

How many one owner cars are left?

You cant be too strict on Harry now 😉😂 I had forgotten that it was a press car. But I think I remember him saying in his video with his Trophy, that he got it for a group test, over in France and loved it so much he rang up the Renault press office and asked to keep/buy the car. That's if my...

How many one owner cars are left?

I don't know what number Harry's Trophy is, but that would be another one. Even though, technically it might have two now, since his son Charlie has the car now I think?

I get the feeling, the lawyers and the ensuing divorce will also add to the total bill Nick ;)

    Motorway Today

That looks lovely Nick, and agree re the white wheels. I might suggest something like a dark, gloss grey/silver. Is it a standard 197/200, not a Cup etc? Something like a Tolman 205 would be lovely, but only makes any sense if you already have a garage full of cars and spending over £100k on...

    Full Commitment! Some old Clio's.

Much appreciated Ed ;) Who says life needs to be so complicated.... All you need is a relatively small, light weight car with a gutsy little engine up front, that is also partial to a bit of tripod cornering, courtesy of a mad French man behind the wheel 😁 Thats how I imagine you nipped...

EVO magazine issue #83 - The Trophy 'Giant Killer' issue.

This one will be like the last few minutes of a CC auction on a Sunday night 😁 The bids will be flying for this one Ed 😉

    Underbody

Be very interesting to see the final results if you go ahead with that, under the skirts project, so to speak ;) I think doing something like that to the underside, is not all that far off tackling something like an engine bay and making that look near concourse again. It can escalate really...

    Splitter Talk.

Not a problem at all Ed,the offer is open to anyone if it helps them in any way. I know most people will just suck it up and pay,but it might save someone a bit of hassle. I am quickly developing new skills at trying to avoid having to pay extra bloody taxes, buying stuff in from England now.

    Splitter Talk.

Just wanted to say. If any of you are thinking of visiting Ireland at some stage and you want to order parts from Europe, feel free to get them delivered to my address and can organise somewhere to meet you to give you the parts to take back with you. But I doubt many of you would suffer the...

Exhaust - Would these work ????

Given the huge amount and variety of, often world class fabricators and workshops around the UK, you would think it shouldn't be impossible to get something akin to the original (in looks at least) and built to last a bit better, built. Maybe the possibility of a small group buy from others...
