That's good to know. Straight line performance is a no brainer - of course the Cossie beats it hands down. But, most people get their kicks out of pushing their cars along the twisties which is why the Trophy is appealing to me. I'll give it some thought before doing something I may regret.
How does the Trophy compare to your Evo mate? I've got a Sierra Cosworth and don't have the luxury of owning both a Cossie and a Trophy, so to own one I'll have to sacrifice the other.
Out of the Evo and Trophy, which one would you keep?
Yeah. We've all got opinions and debates are healthy. My gut feeling is that it has been on the market a couple of weeks nobody has came calling at £5.5k, so that probably says a lot for it. If priced rightly these usually sell straight away.
The main thing is that someone buys it and gets it...
It's worth what someone will pay. I've seen recent 90-100k milers going for circa £5k. This needs a minimum £500 for the dampers before starting on the other niggles.
Just an opinion though. Yours might be different.
In fairness, if I sold the Cossie, I could probably get a Trophy, Williams 1 and possibly a 182 (liquid yellow).
I like your caring thoughts of taking it off me for £500 though
In all honesty I'll have to get my hands on a fun Clio at some point.
Yeah, I agree mate. It's just a shame we can't have a fleet of fun cars. The Sierra is epic and if I sold it I doubt I'd be able to afford another one in a few years time with the way the prices are going. Sometimes you just get thoughts of playing in something newer than a car from the 80's.
Every time I see one for sale I'm so tempted. Sadly, to buy I'll have to sell and I don't think I can bring myself to part with one of mine.
Good luck with the sale of yours
I'm wondering if I've got space for a Trophy (or a Williams 1). The thing is, I'll have to move on my Sierra Cosworth if I do. Not sure if I can do that.
