My diy bleeding stand So this was how they came off the car, one had lost a lot of its oil and was it a bit of a sorry state Very rusty De pinning Shiny and new I was a bit concerned about getting them apart without damaging anything bit it turned out OK. Bit of warmth from a heat gun and the...
I'd say Make sure the dampers have had a recent rebuild... Ask for proof of this .. If not knock about £400 -£500 off the price to get them done, Also recent Belts and dephaser change , Again with proof ... If not expect another £400 off..
Never seen a trophy on gold before... Looks pretty cool ...
I was thinking of a std silver set and doing them Anthracite but it depends on what sort of money you are looking for buddy... ?
They do look like they fill the arches well, is that with spacers fitted?
Agreed.. On the road it's tough to feel a big difference but it's there... On the track will be a different story, wider front track will reduce under steer .. But then again so will lower tyre pressure or more camber.. That's why race cars need endless testing to find just a few tenths of a...
Claude I was thinking about a bit of handling upgrade for the Wales weekend and was wondering how you got on with your parts...?
I have ordered some camber bolt and was looking at spacers but didn't order any yet... Did you go 20 and 10 in the end or not bother ?
I think best plan is to give them a call and explain the situation and give measurements and see what they have that's close.. If it's just opening up the ID on the bump rubber that's easy..
As long as you stick to the std length and OD it should have a pretty minimal effect .. on our set up it is more for bottoming safety rather than a more modern longer bump stop that is designed to be a method of rising rate springing as the car rolls ,, you could if you were thinking of a track...

I'm betting were not far off track with something like this .. we could machine the inner hole out to 25mm if needs be , these are sachs parts..
I am looking into this and it looks like BG are using a steering rack gaitor that gets trimmed to length... The cost/volume involved in tooling up to produce a few hundred just wouldn't be worth it and that's why they will be re working an off the shelf part... We just need to find out what...
Understood.. If you are working on a re build service that's great.. I work for Mercedes F1 so if I can be any help with getting shafts made or any other engineering work let me know.. I will be making a start on my set in the next few days
Not personally but lots of guys on here have upgrade experience.. Just search " brakes" I seem to recall the cup race series cars of our shape car used a bigger stock part.. Maybe from a Megan or scenic as they were on 15 inch wheels and with a floating set up you might not be able to use 15"...
Hi Steve .. sounds like your on the right track with the mods.. I would look into 15" wheels for your track sets as tyre chioce seems to be wider and cheaper .. I also am in motorsport with one of the F1 teams so its good to have another owner in the industry ..
