Yes they would charge extra for new adjustable dials. Mine were an extra £60 per side last time from memory (May 2010).
The standard shocks can be de-pinned but not sure if Ben @ BG would do this?
Mine would have been £350-£400 without a discount including return postage and that is for 1 complete refurb.
As mine have been de-pinned with new adjusters it made sense to get mine refurbed rather than replaced with new ones.
Work next door to a main dealers - they quoted around £700 each. Wests Renault (Tom) on Clio Sport can do them for £470 (ish) each corner and have a quick lead time.
Cheers
Imagine Renault can obtain standard springs although some on here have spares.
Others have opted for sport line springs over stock and others have gone for Mark Fish ones.
Can I ask, why coilovers on a Trophy? Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the car. Saying that I have been for a...

Lol, worth a try!
Whilst my fronts are both sticker free I did manage to get myself a pair of rear Sachs shocks on the cheap (less than £100 for both if my memory serves me correctly) and took the stickers off the old set which I sold on ;-)
Quite different to my situation, mine has covered anything around 20,000 miles and dampers nearly 2 years old since the last refurb. The offside damper was dynoed free of charge and both matched FOC.
Glad you got yours sorted, should be 'as new'!
Yes went for the smooth spray as painting by brush also was a no-no for me last time.
Managed to get mine prepped and rust treated this evening so ready for fun with the spray cans tomorrow. Considering the mileage mine have covered from last time they were in fairly good condition I'd say. I...
Remind me when yours were last refurbed?
Mine must have had some dirt / grit that worked its way inside and scored the piston hence the leak. This is not the fault of BG hence the work was not carried out free of charge.
The adjustable dials were both replaced in May 2010 so would not...
Got mine back today and thought I would add a couple of pictures! As per my previous post the offside damper was as good as when it left BG in May 2010. The piston was returned along with the guide and must say the scoring was not as bad as I was expecting. The scoring looks very minor but I...
Just going for Hammerite smooth silver and have 3 random cans of laquer. When I had them refurbed last time they were rushed so did not look great.
Whilst the car is on axle stands have been cleaning arches / sills / etc
Brilliant move, was very tempted to get mine done like this.
Decided to spend the extra ££ on two PE2's and front end 'refresh'.
Get my dampers back tomorrow so one evening will be cleaning, another spraying and another laquering.
Look forward to completed pics ;-)
Took mine out last year, get a hard scrubbing brush and good detergent and should clean up.
Otherwise sure you could get a set cheap on eBay?
Was thinking of going red if I could find any!
Must have missed this thread, interesting read and some good pics.
BG Motorsport are going to return me my damaged piston once they have fixed the nearside faulty damper. Will be interesting to see the insides of the main shaft.
Right looks like my nearside shock has failed due to something scoring the piston so will need to keep an eye going forwards on the arch area.
Ben was confident in his previous refurb as the offside damper was spot on for almost 2 years in age.
A fair resolution agreed so hopefully will get my...
