when you put it on can you take a pic of the bracket, i cant work out where the two flanges connect, the larger flange goes on to original air box mount but the smaller flange?
cheers
ITG will sell me the plate for £35 (hmmmm), does the plate connect to the closed end of the carbon housing (mine doesnt have any holes drilled) and the front OEM filter housing mount?
cheers for your help hoo.
ben - i got new pads, discs, lines and fluid, so 2" travel before they firm up is still nothin to worry bout then? they just dont feel as instant as my transit and berlingo.
sorry for hijack.
how much travel should there be before the pedal stiffend then, i get the sound of air compressing (by the pedal) and a good 2" travel before pedal firms up (engine on).
Hey shifty
i thought there would be more bidders IMHO, as much as I love u all i didnt want to advertise it on here :D
Didnt i post the link up for the different filters?
also are these not the Maxogen filters from Merlin...
only got box, £70 ebay (hopefully its the correct box [-o< )I took a chance, it looks like the ITG AB65 although I wont count my turnips till the chickens come in (as it might be the similar BAB65 box).
I need to get someone to make up a bracket (or i'll bodge one) I have noticed that some pics...
cheers Hoolio, will a 3" cold feed hose fit round the inlet and outlet of the Maxogen box and around
a silicone Hill/Samco induction pipe or will i need an internal coupler to connnect a 3" flexi hose to the silicone induction pipe.
cheers.
Can some one tell me the correct size replacement filter and what size cold feed pipe is to be used with the Maxogen AB65 enclosure. also whats the best material to use for the cold feed pipe?
cheers again folks.
BTW heres a link to the available Maxogen replacement filters...
yeah i wacked aload of copper grease on the sliders too but i'm not sure if we are meant to use red rubber caliper grease? anyone now the correct grease for caliper sliders?
Update..
I have regreased the caliper sliders and my brake problem (binding-noisy) seems (fingers crossed) to be sorted and there has been no reoccourence of the 'engine' prob, so maybe it was the binding brakes that were restricting the engine.
will do!
just the bfact that i'm havin probs with the brakes (think there sorted now) and i've removed the acoustic is telling me to reverse all gentle mods and my engine fault (if it is) will be solved.
offf to race .................on rfactor, happyy 3 wheeling all. :D
As title says now and then there seems to be no go from the engine as if its sticking (if that makes sense) only seemed to occour in 4th at around 3k revs, you could feel the vibration through the throttle pedal too. Any ideas?. (i have been having some probs with my new pads and discs and also...
spoke to soon!
squeaking/binding on front right even worse now. :(
having brake lines done tommorrow anything i should get mechanic to check whilst wheels are off.??
cheers again fellow Trophy heads.
not entirely sure!!
it apparently restricts airflow (via ecu and determined by speed or revs i guess) to comply with EU noise regs, obviously its removal ensures a derestricted air supply to the engine (good) at all times.
Theres a thread/post and guide on here if u do a site search, took me...
