In process of refreshing front end/underside of car. Was in pretty good nick and didn’t really “need” anything, but decided if dampers going to be refreshed I might as well do the full front end and ensure everything 100%.

- Subframe, wishbones and all associated bits sand blasted and powder coated.
- Replaced bolts with new, Renault originals as much as possible.
- new bottom ball joints.
- New track rod ends.
- New ARB brackets
- Dampers rebuilt by BG, springs and platforms blasted and painted, new top mount bearings and Powerflex bushes.
- Treated all to Lanoguard (as have rest of underside). Car will always be off-road and garaged during salty road season, but doesn’t do any harm.

Front all back together - pretty happy with that. Apart from the upper steering rack bolts was very straight fwd. particularly surprised how easy it was to bleed brakes after it sitting for over a week with no calipers on.

The blasting and powder coating was only £80 for everything.
High level guess for all bolts, brackets, ball joints, track rod ends, top mount bearings, Powerflec top mounts etc - £500 (didn’t buy any other bushes as car already poly bushed and all in good nick).
Shock refurb - £1100
Paint, rust proofer/killer, WD40, brake fluid, lanoguard etc - £60

Other thing I bought when doing this which was extremely helpful was set of extra long ring spanners https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DHL2JFZG/?tag=ctphy-21

Plan now to do similar on rear, which other than bushes on rear beam looking like the original 20+ yr old ones, appears in relatively good shape.

That's really good value for all of that, especially given its like new underneath now.

Do you have access to a ramp or was it done via jack stands?

@BigTont

I have never touched the rear beam bushes or rear beam on the car.
As you are aware it had all the braided break lines and ABS sensors done so should be easy enough to get everything undone as it was only a week before you bought it they had been done.

Top Rear Shock mounts are Powerflex also .
