Afternoon all,
Just looking some advice on both a likely value and also the best sales route option please.
Considering listing car on Collecting Cars but there seems to be mixed opinions.
Car in question is a 32k mile standard example with 1 previous owner.
Many thanks in advance.

Woop Woop...
There cant be many of that mileage and ownership left in circulation....
I would've though that Collecting Cars would be the best option. With a decent reserve...[£20K+]....
So long as it doesnt need any £££ spending on it, ie sachs refurbs , paint etc etc....

I'd say Collecting Cars was until recently the favoured platform out there to get the cars in front of collectors, particularly for a low mileage, 1 owner car. Not many Trophy's have been through the platform recently, so it might do well. Recently however, the Pistonheads Online Auctions has been doing quite well for folk, number 500 is currently live on there:

I always reckon it's worth sticking up an advert on the 'For Sale' section of the forum here too. It was where I used to keep an eye out for cars when I was looking for another a few years ago.

I’ll look forward to seeing No238 come to the market - great pedigree with 32000 miles and only 2 owners.

I’ll echo what Ed has said above - Pistonheads could now be the new CC however we will see later on this week when No500 comes to an end.

The issue with CC’s is the new commission structure but with a 20k price point it may not be as much of a problem unlike a 7k car with the £1200 minimum fee.

Some pictures here would be awesome though

My apologies @Trophy 238 , I forgot to add my opinion on a value.

At 32k miles and low owners, providing the car is in good condition with decent history, then I'd suggest a figure of £15.5k upwards. @NickReilly063 would your agree - this is you area 😁 ;)

Pictures needed Ed like I’ve said above 😉😉

Damn, has that fee gone up a lot recently Nick?

Seems like a pretty chunky minimum fee, especially if as you say, the car your selling is relatively low value, between £10-15k say.

Buyer pays the fee though I think Francis, which thus makes it unattractive to bid on lower priced stuff when the premium used to be capped at £600 until the 6% margin was reached.

I think you may have seen this car that the OP is asking about? I'm presuming it's #238 from the username.

Yeah that makes sense Ed.

Thanks for reminding me, I had forgotten what number the car was.
God bless your memory Ed 😉

I seen the car around April 2017 and from memory it had maybe 18k miles on it, but I could be wrong on the exact number.

Really lovely looking car back then, still looking good today as well 👍
