I have around 300-400 CAR and EVO magazines, most in mint condition. I very rarely re-read so now might be the time to move them on. Are they worth anything... perhaps a question for Ed? CAR issues 2011-2022 and EVO from around issue 064. One of the EVO magazines is signed by a number of EVO staff including Henry when I met them at a Bedford trackday years ago.

They are certainly worth something Mark, it just depends on whether you’ve got the patience or inclination to put the time into photographing them all and uploading them to a selling platform.

I generally sell through eBay and currently have one of my EVO collections for sale on there. But, and it’s a big but… since eBay introduced buyers fees a couple of months ago sales have currently completely dried up. It used to average about 4-6 issues selling a month, so already a slow burn, but steady. That’s no more. Other option is Facebook marketplace for the collection as a whole, but you’ll have to be prepared for the whole lot to go as a job lot for max £50, otherwise I doubt you’ll get any interest.

If they’re in nice condition, can you not just keep hold of them to enjoy in years to come? 😁

Thanks Ed. I don't have the patience to sell them individually so will probably keep to collect more dust.

I would imagine the ones from the earlier years might be worth a bit in the future and be more in demand.

The period from when they launched in 1998 to the mid 2000's,to me,was both peak car and peak Evo.

Even though I have pretty much bought Evo from the very first issue,I think peak Evo and also peak car was 1998-mid 2000's.

You might fall back into the habit of reading some of your collection again.

After my recent post, I decided to have a look through some of my old magazines and found a copy of 'Performance Car' dated September 2009. This issue, number 19, has a brilliant article by Dan Posser who takes HT05 BZX to explore The Lakes, Dales and Moors. It reminded me of your recent trips @photo_ed. Do you have this magazine?

All my Performance Car mags are from about 1982 to perhaps the early '90's. I only have a couple of those from the I think relaunch in 2008 - 09ish. I'll have to put this issue on my Trophy list. ;)

Thanks for letting me know about it Mark. Sounds like an interesting article. (y)
