Alternator Help!

Hello All

I have a 182 Trophy that has a faulty alternator. It’s a Valeo 110A unit. I’m told by my local dealership that this is not available as an exchange unit and quoted £394 plus Vat for a new one which will have to come from France. Can anyone recommend another unit that will work reliably?

I had mine repaired by Grimwoods auto electrics in Peterborough a couple of years ago for a fraction of the cost of a new one and is working fine

did you get this and fitted it to the trophy ?

I ordered one this week and have found the connectors are 180 degress out ?

Picture 1 & 2 = Genuine Renault Unit
Picture 3 = Genuine Valeo Unit
Picture 4 = Genuine Exchange Unit (As you say NLA)
Picture 5 Genuine NON Exchange Unit
