I think i had a similar issue. When accelerating the engine was struggling a bit and i could hear it 'judder'. It turns out one of my plugs went, so i replaced them all which fixed it.

Is there a specialist IN South Wales that can do a cam belt change? Both suggestions above are in England! The closest i've found is Le Car which can offer the cambelt and dephaser for about £650,

This happened twice before on 2 of my other Clio's - it turns out it was the battery that needed replacing. do you know the age of the battery? mine usually lasted up to 8 years. why dont you test the battery or charge it first to see if that makes a difference?

it turns out £399 was for a standard clio, while the 182 is £699 for cambelt. they still couldn't get a price for dephaser.

I agree. the lady on the phone didnt have any info to hand and seemed to have just plucked "a few hundred extra quid" out of no where. After i researched online they are about £30.
