@James__H & @0 Kevster 0 Are running them on their cars and are liking them I think.. I think the PS5 will be the go-to rubber for these cars now.Hi there, has anyone got these tyres on their car? If so how do you find them? I need 4 tyres on the coming weeks and seen them mentioned in another thread on here. Thanks
I'll be doing the same with my 200 Cup too Stefan, currently on PS4's, but after much agonising between PS5's & Cup 2's, with all the rain we get now, I'll be going for the more sensible option.Yup genuinely no reason not to go for these.
Far superior/modern compared to the older version.
I'll be going ps5 on my r32 when the PS4 are due to be replaced.
Sounds like a good price with the fitting & balance.I have Michelins on my other car, I'm a fan of them tbh. ATS have them the cheapest it serms. £512 for four fitted and balanced.
Use Case | Recommended Tyre |
---|---|
Daily driving + spirited B-road blasts | Pilot Sport 5 – better wet safety, comfort, and wear |
Track days or aggressive driving | Pilot Sport 3 – slightly sharper dry handling, but dated tech |
Best all-rounder | Pilot Sport 5 – modern compound, better balance of performance and durability |
I was thinking about it the other day.... While I thought that the PS5 was more modern and obviously better... Since then, I read a bit more about it.

In the end, I chose PS5 for my 2 front wheels and I have PS3 for my rear wheels that are only a year old (not PS5 options at the time) but I don't think we should disregard the PS3 just yet.
ATS will always be the cheapest on Michelin tyres as they are owned by Michelin, I believe.
Enough experience has led me to believe that tyre fitters who do everything absolutely spot on are a minority.I'd be nervous having tyres fitted by ATS, or any other well known outfit. Whilst fitting/balancing tyres on paper seems a very simple act, the majority of fitters do it with little care and attention. Even so called local/regional 'performance' places are mediocre at best. I'm yet to find a place that excels.
They've already phoned me and asked if I can make the appointment a little earlier so they don't have to rush. They've had some excellent reviews on Google and trust pilot too. I'll be advising them where I want the car jacked up etc.I'd be nervous having tyres fitted by ATS, or any other well known outfit. It's ATS in Swansea, I'm living in that area.
