Yeah, it's the pins for locking the dampers in a set position.

They can either be tapped out and removed or only halfway to allow adjustment.

Your mates car's dampers are either still pinned or the pins have been completely removed.

Hoz.

The dials are held in place by a grub screw, you need a small allen key to remove it. Some grub screws are held in place with loctite so you my need to heat the dial up with a heat gun to melt the loctite before it will budge. Once you have removed the grub screw the dial will come off and you just need to knock the pin out/halfway, then just put it back on.

Voila !

Piece of Pisch !

Somewhere on the dial there will be a hole where the grub screw is located.

See here...

They were replaced by BG Motorsport when I got them serviced, thats why they no longer have a big hole through them.

They said that because I removed the pins (completely) water and crap was getting in through the hole, which isn't good.

So it cost more if the pins are out then??

What's the damage? I'm probably gonna have em done before it goes to the 'Ring next year!

I think it was like a few quid extra for the dials, not much, and worth every penny anyways but you dont have to get them replaced.

Whats the damage? - Do you mean why did I get them serviced ? Basically because the handling was a bit 'off'. There is a massive thread on it somewhere called 'unstable at speed'.

What's the damage as in how much did it cost?

My car feels really stable at speed. Maybe not as much as my 225 F1 but that weighed 300kg more!

Good question, beat me to it. Been busy since yesterday and was gonna ask the same thing. I think mine just have never been touched by the comments from former owner and what's said above
