The modifying bug has bitten again. What a nightmare for my Credit Card.
Had to replace the clutch so I thought lets put in a light weight flywheel.
But then I couldn't stop myself and the following has been done.
1.Flywheel
2.KTR Cat and Exhaust
3.Solid top mounts
4.Rear ARB
5.Uprated engine and gearbox mounts
6.Uprated front bushes

I was looking forward to picking it up today, the Renault guy said it handled
beautifully and that he wanted one.
He then rings and says they have cross threaded something in the front suspension
and that the shock will have to go to BG for fixing.B******.
Anyway hopefully ready for Christmas.

Wow that sounds expensive as it can only really be the thread on the main shaft so it'll be a new one. Also they ought to be done as a pair!
Also what Top mounts have you gone for? Sounds like a great set up, I'd maybe add camber bolts for a little extra neg on the fronts.

Where did you get the lightened flywheel from? I had a go in an PS13 which had one and it made a significant difference.

Yes was thread on main shaft.
But the dealer is sorting that out.
Both shocks were refurbed last year so should be OK.
The flywheel came from Ktec, the Renault service guy said he
couldn't believe the difference in weight and says the engine
revs much more quickly now.
The Top mounts came from Ktec as well.

I'd echo hoolio and get both shocks done , you never know and I would assume Bg test them and should match each other.

When you get the T back can you take a video of the idle and post it up would be good to see or even hear what its like with a lightened flywheel as iv got to do a clutch on mine so was thinking of fitting the flywheel at the same time too.

I have just got the car back.
What a laugh.Everything is so much tauter,understeer
is much reduced.
The lightweight flywheel makes idle more lumpy
as you would expect but the car revs much more eagerly.
Altogether a total riot.

It was the main shaft that was cross threaded.
Everything now fine and going brilliantly.
