Hi All,

I've fitted a new aftermarket steering wheel and while I have managed to turn the airbag light off using a couple of resistors. However, I now have the ESP and Traction Control Indicator Light / Service Light coming on. It only comes on when the car is driven and the light will only go off when the car is stationary and the ignition has been turned off and on again.

Has anybody who has fitted a different steering wheel had the same thing or does anyone know how I can get this to turn off and not come on again??? Any info would be really appreciated as I 'm really stumped!!

I havent fitted a steering wheel but i have had the lights coming on before on my old 182.
It was something to do with the brake pedal sensor, took Reno stealers 2 mins to fix.

Cheers for the reply.

Yes I thought it might be the brake pedal sensor as I've read about that. Thing is that it seems really odd that it has never done it before and it is now immediately after I've put a different steering wheel on it.

So nobody else has had this problem when they've changed their steering wheel?
