Oh ye I remember seeing that somewhere the other day. It must be the most expensive Trophy on sale today, one of, if not the lowest milage Trophys out there too. Its a rare buy which is why the price is so high.

Its an excellent buy for someone who is willing to pay the extra premium for a very fine low milage example. :)

Is it worth the extra £1500 - £2000 if your going to put X amount of miles on it and devalue it to the same level as all the others?
Might be better off just going for one with average miles and banking the rest of the money.

I'd buy it!! I bought the lowest mileage one for sale when I was looking. Mine was on 18700 at 4 years old in Sept 2009. Currently on 21800, for info I paid £7800 but that was private so no warranty etc.

Just remember that it still needs belts at 5 years and thats a £500 job.

Dampers will be less likely to need a refurb but that dunt mean they won't need it soon!!

Totally agree with Mat

That Trophy should be bought by someone who is going to keep the miles to a minimum and keep it as a perfect example.
If you keep an eye out you can pick an average milage Trophy up for £7k -£7.5K which have had both dampers and belts done.

What does everyone do with the rear dampers when refurbishing the front ones?
AFAIK it is not a good idea to have only one set new, all 4 should be done at the same time to have a balanced car.

After being umemployed for 3 and a half months I have not racked up many miles, due to start a new position on 29th March so the 23k on mine is likely to rocket up with a 40 mile daily commute :-(

I replaced mine when I got the Front dampers serviced. Its good practice to replace the rear dampers with new ones but there is no halm in keeping the old ones on if they are still performing ok.

Yes indeed, very pleased of course considering the climate we are in (or whatever they are calling it!).

Just do not have the heart to get rid of it, love every minute when driving it so why should I give it up!

went ahead and got rid a cup this morn. No 231 now sits nicely outside the flat. Drives great and feels tighter than the cup.
