Just wondering if the black part comes off and there is a silver plack underneath like in this pic please?

i wouldn't have thought so - they'd need to be very pricey to have them printed on a base metalic plate and over printed with black.

I think it's a shame they didn't go ahead with that, I think it looks a little more classy than the plaques that are on our cars..?
