It may not bother any of you or may say why bother but i was fed up of looking at the Renaultsport writing that is printed on top of the manifold. It was looking rather tatty and not what it should be so why the sun was i had a little play with it to see what i could do with it! Here is what it looked like to start of with:

So started off with wet and dry 600 then moved on to wet and dry 1200 to remove all pitting and roughness

SDC10313.jpg

Then cleaned in between all the gaps and to remove any metal residue with a trysty Braun electric toothbrush[LOL]

SDC10314.jpg

Then wiped over with a wet MF cloth to dry

SDC10315.jpg

Then out comes the good old trusty Autosol ( love this stuff ) and then commenced with lots of rubbing and wiping.

Then out comes the nail brush as by this time the toothbrush had run out of batteries[:$]

SDC10318.jpg

And here are the end results not bad but need to make it shiner

My mate commented on how rough the writing looks on the casting...

Looks very good indeed =D>

This is a bit like teaching Granny to suck eggs but you'll need to go finer with the wet and dry to get that extra ker-ching :)

:) Know what you mean, went to 3000 on the 5 rims but didn't like it and brought it back up so they will have a polished brush finish that is almost white.
