What tyre do people recommend for track use on standard trophy turinis.
I have heard the R888 are good but the nearest size is 195/50. Does this profile fit the car properly.

Also I am looking for some kind of longevity. ie do the soft kumho burn through really quickly.

These are a second set of wheels so don't need to be good on the road but it would be nice if they were road legal.

Many Thanks

I personally like the Yokohama Parada Spec-2, although I'd wait until the weather gets a bit nicer as they can be a bit scary on slippery winter roads... :?

Paradas are good, great on track and cheap to replace (in 15s especially)

but if you are going to have a 2nd set of wheels, it has to be semi slicks.....

R888's or Yokohama A048's! Both road legal too!

Soft Kumho V70A have minimal life - probably 500 miles max on front when used in competition.

Both tyres you suggest are only available in 195/50.
Have you used the R888 on a standard trophy wheel and is there any problem with rubbing etc.
Cheers

I use R888's on my track motor, they are great when they have warmed up. Apparently you can switch sides too which gives them a lot more life, as long as it's dry.

Just get a spare set of alloys, 15's for cheap tyres.

Sets of say OZ F1's @ £100, offset is perfect.
