i think Reno must have said to them - Don't test it against a Trophy! how come no-one seems to have compared the 197 with a trophy. It's been done against the full fat 182 and now williams.?????

Isn't it obvious why? They're never going to road test their new mainstream Renaultsport model against a niche car like the Trophy, I mean how is it going to compare favourably? After they've hooned it round, they'll get out and say "Well, it's got a bigger boot..."

I was a bit disappointed the trophy wasn't involved, still good to see Tiff ragging the 2nd and 3rd best clios though

2nd and 9th best Clio you mean? Trophy, Williams, 255 V6, 172 Cup, 182 Cup, 230 V6, 182, 172, 197.

I've kind of got a soft spot for the 197 at the mo, so prolly elevated it too high :wink:

Has anyone on here taken the free test drive in the 197?

i took it around cadwell - held up well, better than i expected but still too over weight in my opinion.

I never got round to taking them up on the offer.

Thought they seemed pretty sh*t at first, but they've grown on me. Might see if I can still use my free pass after all :?
