What was the update on how this works with the self centering and rubbing? Would be interesting to know as the 197 wheel suits the T well.

Funky Munky had the answer. It will always rub alittle but you only notice it on 3 point turns and parking etc unless you've got some tunes on!

the 197 has a longer spline than the 182. if you cut the spline on the 197 where is starts to taper it will then allow the steering to self centrolize and the whole thing to fit.

The cruise control will have to be modified by putting the 182's block conector on the 197.

Very happy now as it makes a huge difference in looks

Got the steering wheel for £90 on Ebay from a breakers yard. £160 for the airbag from Renault. Dealership prices.

labour was alot but i wanted it done at Renault Peterborough for the service history and own piece of mind. Its an airbag could save your life.

Add £150 labour and there you go.

A lot i grant you but you only have to do it once.

May be changing soon to something more subtle. As they clip on and off might get a set dependent on mood. :lol:
