Sachs front dampers servicing schedule

hello,

was wondering if there is a servicing schedule for the Sachs front dampers, what mileage should they be done at or if you do low miles or have a low mileage car. is there a way of telling if they need servicing if there are no leaks.

The only reason for me asking is that the other day someone was selling a trophy and one of the comment was " the dampers probably could do with being done". But you said is best waiting for the to fail?

they seem to fail at random, and some people have had theirs done and then had then fail again only months later, so best to leave them well alone if they are ok

On that note then i wont worry about them till they fail.

If it's a daily/ you don't want it sat on axel stands.. Invest in some 182 cup packed shocks.. £70 a pair.. Will get you running again in a few hours while the Sachs are ever off for repair.

adverts which say "could do with a refurb". Basically means they are knocked to me. How knackered dictates the bill.
