I've got some (rudy) tree sap on my alcantara!

Any idea/experience of removing it without staining the material?

Many thanks

You could try one of those foaming apolstry cleaners on the market but i would test on an inconspicuous area first. Ive tried one on mine and it was fine.

Have to say though tree sap is a bit of an unusual one.

When Claire managed to glue a boiled sweet to the alcantera I just used a leather cleaner that came in a kit with the car but you're going to need something that will break down the oil. :?

Yes - i think it might have to be alcohol-based to break down the oil.

wd40 breaks down oil. Used it on the carpet indoors worked a treat. Although i'm really missing the opportunity of replying here......HOW ON EARTH?!? Left the door open parked under a tree when there was high winds??? even then how would you see tiny little dots on the black?? If not, what was you doing carrying wood on your drivers seat??? Hope she was worth it.

Stormy, it's quite simple... I sat on a wooden fence (procrastinating for a change) and the rest is history.
