oo wanne it!!!! was looking at these a while back, is a sports cat mot passable??

Yep - sports cats are 100% legal and will pass an MOT.

Also no problems with warning lights coming on etc.

But over the 95db threshold :( I think

I remember reading about that as it was a road exhaust it had to be below 90db for french law or something?

Here's what they says on there website about the 182 road system;

The line adapts itself directly to the gone out of the collector. The catalyst 400 origin cells is replaced by a catalyst 200 cells, a dismantling point is foreseen to the place of the bridge facilitates the mounting of the body. The silent one is coming from the lines competition Clio cup entry diameter 60 and gone out 2X diameter 45, exit embouts diameter 92 adapt themselves perfectly to the spoiler. This line takes a power gain of 10 CV the flexibility of the motor is astonishing the muffled sonorité down with system becomes strong enticing in the turns all while remaining in very acceptable norms. The line is furnished with platinum of fixing for the silent one and silent pads reinforced.

No wonder it so expensive if it uses platinum in the build.

Also looks like there is a system coming out for the 172 soon.

Has anyone ordered one yet? Would love to experience one first hand.

Interesting about 90db :D . Titanium, thought it was pricey for a 100% steel jobby. I think it weighs 8kgs so that stacksup it sems.

I need to do more research..

I've not yet mastered writing French with technical terms. Thats where i start to go wrong.

But yeah ii've not had many replies (which make sense at all).

Still its a lovely looking exhaust system, love to know how it sounds.

A bit more information..

"Hello, sorry for the slow reply. Orbisoud have finally got back to me and informed me the only sound measurement they have for the 182 system is that it is 93dB at idle.

Too loud for me unfortunately; particularly as the quoted 93 db as at idle speed...

Quieter than the missus she is 99db at idle. But saying that, i'm def going to save for one. Will still try and get one from France. Got one reply, one chap has bought one in France for 912.55 Euros, with a club discount.
So that is about £634 in real money.

Still can't see what benefit it would have over any other reputable system, such as a Janspeed. You're probably paying All the shipping charges from France for it.

Ended up going for Janspeed myself.

So what are your thoughts on the Janspeed mate and why did you choose it over the KTR? Any noticeable gains in power and/or noise?

Slightly more noise, but no drone. Just nice.

Power will never be noticeable from an exhaust alone - unless you've got a banana stuck in your old one ;)

Re. KTR vs. Janspeed: One company specialises and is almost synonymous with exhausts the world over; the other isn't. 'Nuff said ;)

Cheers

I have the Orbisoud system on my 182 and in my personal opinion it is the sweetest peice of kit you could get for this car (even more so when combined with the Maxogen and an ECU upgrade  ). Once you have it you won't care what other systems are like. Trust me you'll just know its the best. The Trophy on K-Tecs website with the Orbisoud is actually mine http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product ... 1991&pic=2 (for all who've seen my car, note the privacy glass).

I had a ride in 'Clio Cup Racer' 7MAT's Trophy for a few laps at the RS Brands Hatch day and his Janspeed system was brilliant. The price is right too for the Janspeed. I'm not so familiar with the KTR system but the Janspeed is definately my second choise to the Orbisoud. The Magnex looks nice but imo its more of a 'Max Power' mod. There's also Niks Prospeed system which I don't know much about.

Once the Orbisouds warmed up it sounds simply sweet. Maybe not the loudest but definately sounds nicest from any system on here. Even nicer than my mates full Supersprint system on his CSL. But by no means is this system quiet! Your friendly neibours will always know when you've arrived home. Also with the Janspeed the price might make more sense but thats only until you've seen the quality and finish of the Orbisoud (far exceeds the others). You get what you pay for really. And it looks the best too, imo ofcourse.

Anyone considering an Exhaust upgrade should consider waiting a little more and going for the Orbisoud. WON'T be dissappointed.

There are exhaust systems and then there is the Orbisoud. 8)
