New filter!!

I'm currently trying a HKS filter (over my itg panel), and have made a small change to tail pipes on the magnex back box.. (get board easily...)

The filter seems to be working rather well, and has certainly improved throttle response early on through the gears!!Seem to be losing a fraction of torque tho (According to the RR print out..)over the panel filter, but once on cam.. !!

Exhaust is perfect not to loud, but substantial.. :!:


and before any of you ask, i haven't a new camera.. :lol: on a course with work and mega board.. :wink:

Never seen an HKS on anything other than a Jap car before, bet an open filter like that is very loud!

I have had my Powertec filter fitted to my car since November, I love the sound, but have yet to check what powergains i get from the set up.

I am in the process of getting rid of the original elbow joint and replacing it with a nice Smaco hose and an additional breather filter.

TBH i dont think they work that well, i am going the the BB RRoad day so i will see exactly which is better, keeping the IK or the panel filter.

I am also playing around with making a heatshield similar to the ones you get with the Gen 2 K&N kit. I have left the bottom half of the air box in place so just need to sort the top half out.

Will keep you lot posted.
