1. Has anyone found any difference fitting after market plug leads?
2. Whats the best plugs to fit?
3. Anyone fitted a earthing kit?
Are the above worth doing?

I was always under the impression that the leads and plugs were very good (unusually for Renault) not something i've ever considered.

Just ive hear it improves the smoothness of the car and possibly the response. Im no expert like, i will ask my mate who did this to his accord, i can just remember him saying it was worth it on his car.

iv just fitted magnector leads to my 172,with a set of genuine plugs

i chose magnecor for two reasons

1 is that i had a missfire and i wasnt sure if it was the leads but they were looking worse for wear

and 2 because renault wanted £98 for a set of leads!

needless to say the magnecor were cheaper and also thicker than the std ones, seemed a lil better made but thats only my opinion

defiantly get genuine plugs though, as i had fitted non genuine and the car behaved badly

if it helps i got my plugs from www.sparkplugs.co.uk alot cheaper than renault wanted

if it helps im not sure if the car goes any better, but starting has def been improved, spins over barely twice now before firing into life
